I went to Chelsea's house last night for a gathering of Awareness students. It might have been called a party, I suppose, but I think gathering is much more appropriate. Oddly enough, the hostess and her boyfriend were somewhat removed from the general group. I hardly spoke three words to her, myself. The main group of people was made up of two Jamies, a Mike, an Andy, an Alexa, a Cody and a Trevor. There were a few more people, but they left kinda early into it.
It was my first really extended exposure to booze and drugs. Well, easily-accessible booze and drugs. I was offered a beer and a strange mixed drink with Tequila in it, and asked whether I smoked at least twice. The question never specified tobacco or weed, though there was plenty of both to go around.
Everything was politely turned down.
I'm somewhat curious whether I'll look back on this in years to come and be curious of what had happened if I had accepted something, but for the moment I'm not terribly bothered by it. I have a plethora of anti-drugs, but apart from Cleo, most of them are other vices. I kinda figure I'll just choose a select few vices and delve deeply into them, rather than doing everything at once. Though, now that I mention it, one of these vices is actually on hold for Lent, at the moment.
Still enjoyed myself, though. It was worth going, if only to get out of the house and talk to people as though I know them.
