Chapter: The Next Day
"Alarmingly do we fixate..."

"Love, what's its use now? What good will it do me?" Even in the morning rain, Caswell's voice sounded off like thunder. Behind him, the ashes of his former abode lay in ruins. As sad as it came, in between his legs, lie his mother's corpse.

He'd been certain until now. Caswell's life was derailed since the battle between the fabled Child of the Stars, and Cedonia, one of the magistrates for the Immaculate Revision. No one made sure that Caswell would be okay. His mother did all that.

Now, the only remnant left of the world was the dreams his father helped Caswell produce through his body. The angels' mechanical wings draped him like a curse. He had been something he felt he was not. Conviction led him blindly and he was not the one to judge, but someone in the world of Sa made him so. Guided with only a strong heart and a missing lover, he set out for the Pillars of Creation.

The chained up figure of a devil-like doll lay in front of his feet at the Pillars of Creation. This was Desma, the Lady of Darkness. She'd been hailed a statue on the right side of the Pillars, marking the sign for darkness. On the other side, to Caswell's left, was the statue of Error, the King of Light. He was a bold man, wise and true to his words. Evidently, a chipped eye from years of age for both statues made these gods look ancient, with vines growing on the side of them.

He drabbled on about Desma, the city past the Pillars of Creation. His heart could not be mended but he needed to breach the past mistakes of the gods. They have failed the world of Sa, and now, it must be made correct. Caswell was sent to do this.
The fables go that the Child of the Stars will be the anvil of judgment and set forth the universe on its right course, with no evil nor darkness or light. It'd been a legendary battle between the gods of light and darkness. Though, either was seen as righteous and malevolent. Now, all of the gods of Sa shall upbring a war and the world will be transformed into a state of uproar. The Child of the Stars shall reset the balance to the world of Sa.

Rain began to hiss as Caswell flew on by on his hover board. His path to Desma would be mediocre but arduous. The sounds of lightning above shook his small frame and sweeping darkness befell the area in between the Pillars of Creation. "The tales were true, by god!" Caswell expressed, testing the sound of his voice against the booming of the thunder. And with that, his world soon turned into the conception of the deep ocean, cold and blind. Hoofbeats resounded and a flaming Enju, with black orbs for eyes and an essence breathing as cold as a winter storm, arrived side by side Caswell and sent a cry out like a horse. Caswell's hands were quickly going numb and his eyes becoming heavy next to the darkness created.

"Desma, I've come to ask for your permission to pass your territories marked with anguish and grief." Caswell tried with much energy in squeezing each word out in force. The words were not hear and the Enju-embodied goddess attacked. A rush went by and a pillar crumbled, threatening to crush Caswell beneath the ancient stones of old. He'd swerved out of the way, pieces of stone dissipating into clouds of dust, and slammed one foot on the ignition, pressing on.

The goddess was relentless and with perfected technique to smother the young Caswell had showed much of her age. Her task had been simple but Desma was old and growing weary. The darkness was no longer much a threat comparable to an ant. In this age old battle for dominance, Error, the King of Light, slowly made haste to shine light once more on Stalingrad. With Desma conquered, the town of Desma appeared before Caswell's worn-out eyes.
