Why am I dying? Because I didn't do enough research on the game I wanted, and ended up with FFXI which is an MMORPG rather than a normal RPG. In the excitement of Christmas morning (and because i was in "act like I like all my presents to avoid hurting feelings" mode) I told my parents that was the exact version of FF that I had in mind. It wasn't. Dad is going to be livid if he finds out, especially because recently I also found out that I can't play Bioshock because it's too creepy for me. xp I'm dead, I'm so dead. And stupid, so very stupid. I'm going to earn a Darwin award for this one. On the front of the box, it has a little icon that says ONLINE PLAY ONLY. Of course I couldn't have noticed BEFORE I ******** OPENED THE SHRINKWRAP. OF COURSE ******** NOT. NOW I'M TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY SCREWED. WHo makes a FF MMO anyway!??! I mean, it's a series of RPGs! Made mostly for Playstation! Until recently, Playstations didn't have Online capablility! What the flying ********]

And FFXI has gotten pretty good reviews. Of course, you have to actually play with friends to actually get anywhere, but that's beside the point. And there's a pc version.
And I would suggest getting fft. Actually, I'll lend you fft (for psx). because fft is holy. well, not really, since the main character's a heretic, but you get the point.
Or, if you don't want to get an srpg (that's what fft is), get ffvi. I mean, sure, it's tiny sprites and all, but the plot rules. And it has kefka...who calls people "sons of submariners", yes, I'm serious.
