Daoshi: -A Chinese form of poetry similar to that of the Japanese haiku -A Daoist spellcaster who can reanimate corpses
In this case, Daoshi is the raiser of the dead. The guardian zombies that the Daoshi have are known as 'Jiang Shi'/Jiangsi/Jiang-si (pronounced Geung si) and they are controlled by ofuda talismans placed onto hats so that ofuda hands down in front of the face. The Jiang-si are of Chinese mythology of people whose souls fail to leave the body. They become uncontrollably violent and go about destroying things until a Daoshi puts a talisman on their head and saps the willpower out of the Jiang-si; a mere touch of a Jiang-si to a normal human would kill that person. Because of this, they are known to be 'Chinese Vampire' along with 'Hopping Corpse'. They are usually depicted wearing Qing Dynasty clothes. To get away from an uncontrollable Jiang-si, you have to hold you breath until they pass, however, they are known to be so frightening that it is impossible to hold you breath and stay still in their presence.
