Chapter 1: Red dawn
Part 2: The heartless of the matter.
"It is because, he knows that he has the real power" said a voice from behind. The Dantie turned to the sound of this voice and was shocked to see the generals bodiless helmet was speaking to him. "What the hell have you become?" he asked angerly as he watched the body re-atach the helmet. "More powerfull than you can imagine, little boy" he said as he crushed a small gem in his armored hand, laughing as he did so.
It was not long before the beating of wings was heard from above, as a young dragon landed in the field. The general mounted the dragon as it's wings began to flap again, lifting the two in the air. "This is going to get interesting" he said as he watched the great scaled beast fly above him, just barely floating. The generals cruel laugh echoed through the night air as the demonic lizard sent a streaming trail of fire right towards Dantie. He grunted as he jumped out of the way of the fire, safe only by seconds.
The scaled beast continued to send scorching beams of raging infernos towards him. He could feel the heat of the fire on his skin as it passed, still only inches from hitting him. He noticed the fire starting to get closer and closer to hitting him as he jumped from spot to spot. The beast sent a quick burst towards him, making him trip over a rock, giving it the chance it needed. As Dantie stumbled, another blast of fire came straight for his heart. "damned creature, is this how I die?" he thought as the fire spiraled closer and closer. He closed his eye's, as he anticipated the hit. To his surprise however, the fire stopped just inches from him, being hit with a silver energy in front of him.
"Amazing" he said as he watched the fire begins to dissipate. He stood strait up, with an evil smirk on his face as he stared into the generals glowing yellow eyes.
"Hope you are ready for this" he said as he began to run forward. The beast let out a yell and sent a stream of fire right for him again, but once again the silver energy stopped the attack just inches from him. "What is this?" the general yelled as Dantie jumped up and cut his blade through the beasts neck. It hit the ground hard, forcing the general to fall off.
"now what?" he asked the general as he walked up to him, sword in hand. "You fool, don't you think something is amiss?" he asked laughingly at the boy. "What are you...." Dantie stopped and turned around. "It was to easy. A dragons scales would have stopped my attack. If it went right through, it would have to be..." he thought as he saw the beast standing with an extra head. "A winged hydra"
