Well, not many people (a whole one) know that I enjoy wirting in my spare time. When I was little I wanted to be a writer but it didn't really pan out. Based on my old English gardes I think I write good short stories but I wanted to write a big book, a proper novel. Something that really drags you into the plot and tells you all about charcters you really want to know. It's taken a few years to understand all that, but you get the point.
Anyway, there was one teeny weeny thing standing in my way...the infamous plot. All my good ideas about charcters and plots and twists and stuff fell apart after ten pages! How am I supposed to flesh all these ideas out? The frustration.
It suddenly hit me about a year or so ago - combine all the plots! Take the reeeaaaalllyy good characters, one that had the most depth, and mix them into one big novel. So that's what I did.
I should mention at this point that yes, it did take me more than five years to firgure out this problem.... gonk
So at some point last year, I think during the holidays, years after accedpting my novel was probably never going to happen, I picked up a pen and started writing. twenty pages down and I still had tons of stuff in my brain! whee Crazy.
[I don't know about anyone else but my English teachers would say that it's better to set things in a place that you've been or somewhere you know. That can be really true. This was never explained to me but you can remember these tiny minute details that can make the difference]
Anyhoo, I managed to write my dearest charcter into a corner...and now she's stuck. Sucks to be me. But at least I did it!
So know I'm onto my second story. This one isn't going as quickly but I have a rough idea of what I'm doing and I'm really excited xd
Anyhoo, I don't know many people on gaia and my close friends don't use it so I'm thinking of using this journal as a bit of a blog if I feel like talking about how it's going.
