: The sky was black, as it always was after the war. Even durring the day, a cloud of black smoke covered the skies of the Earth, making the sun a very rare sight. Why did it all have to come to such a big war? That is what most were thinking. This planet seemed hopless to rebuild, but the people kept moving, not wanting to give up on a dream of restoring the planet to it's original beauty. The cities were in ruin, though now they had been built back up more than they were two years ago. At least now, people could find a decent place to eat and relax and few places for weapons and clothes. Crime was at an all time high, and this was not really a surprise for most humans give up when things get too hard for them to handle. Earth...the ever changing word is now a waste land, filled of greed<c> NocturnX 2: and polution. It was on this day that he (my character) was running, just like he did everyday. Of course, this was not running from something, more like running to something. He was a warrior, a famous warrior from The War no less. This was his daily training run that he never missed, for it would mean a lacking in his skills. His long silver hair flew back as it hit the wind durring his run, flowing like a tital wave because of this man's massive speed. When he moved, he looked like a blurr of his original form, jumping from building to building with great ease, making his way through this large and ruined city of a planet. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She looked out her window sullenly. Surely it wasn't morning already. She had just blinked and now the sun was high in the sky. Or, at least, she thought it was. It seemed like the afternoon. She would stay inside for most of the day, traveling at night. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She swept her hair into what would be called a ponytail. However hers reached almost to her hips. She wrapped it around the base, making the loose ends shorter, an atvantage in a fight, less to grab onto. She walked into the bathroom, letting her hair down. She turned the water on to take a shower. The water felt gritty, but then again it was cleaner than most. She washed her hair and body, not knowing when she would have another descent shower. She wasn't very rich but she could get by. She did odd jobs, delivering papers, cleaning tables at the resturants that are now few and far between. NocturnX 2: A few minutes later, he could been seen falling from one of the largest buildings that were still standing. He lands upon his feet, not even a slight stumble is seen from him as he looks behind him to see a small tavern. It wasn't much, but then again, nothing was in this time. Slowly, his steps move him towards the tavern, leading him to open the door and walk inside. Most of the people in the tavern gaze over to him in amazment, knowing exactly who he is from his appearance, and his weapons as he would walk by them. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She decided to not sleep as she usually would, but go out somewhere. It had to be dark and there were only two types of places that were dark at this time of day: Strip clubs and bars, now refered to as taverns. She decided to not go for the first option. She had desires of the flesh but she was not one to openlt express that. She headed to a tavern that was just a few blocks from her hotel. She dried her white-blond hair as best she could and fixed it up the same way as she had before her shower. She pulled on a tight v-neck shirt, black cargos, a trench coat that went a little past her knees, and combat boots. She slipped a small knife into her boot. Among her clothes her also put two vials of poison, a dagger in her trench coat. More obviously was the gun holstered on her hip. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She covered her dark blue eyes with black shades. NocturnX 2: He sits down upon one of the small wooden stools at the bar and looks over to the tender, nodding slowly. The tender knew exactly what he wants, for this man came here everyday after his five hour training run. Quickly, the tender brings him a big bottle of moonshine and the man takes the bottle, handing the tender a few dollars for the drink. The drinks almost becomes one with his hand as he makes his way to a seat in the very back of the tavern, where there was bearly any light. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She walked into the tavern, shutting the door. She walked to the bar signaling the tender. She ordered a brandywine. Although it wasn't that strong it would do. She wanted time to speed up a little. She was anticipating nightfall. She sat on the stool, turning till she could see most of the other people in the bar. She looked into the shadows seeing some very, well shadowy figures. She decided not to join them, just to watch. NocturnX 2: The drink was slowly brought to his lips from his right hand, and he began to drink deeply of it's contents. He always ordered the exact same thing, and some might have found that strange, but it was the only drink he liked, the only drink that would help the memories fade. Some may have said that he became a drunk, but that was far from the truth. NocturnX 2: Sure, he drank, and he drank a lot, but he had attapted to acohol in a way where he could drink, but not get drunk if that is what he wished. As he was drinking, he feels a woman's eyes upon him and slowly turns his dark red eyes towards hers. His eyes and silver hair were all that could be seen in the shadows by a normal person, and that was the way he liked it. The spot light of a famous warrior did not suit him, nor did he eve want it. He was merely using the war as a means to test his skills. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She was suprized to see red eyes. His hair was obviously white. He looked like.... No, no he couldn't be. But then again, it was said he lived in this town. She kept eye contact as long as she could eventually having to avert her gaze. He was drinking a lot. Surely a normal human would be drunk, she thought to herself. Yet again he had red eyes. Now a frown furrowed on his brow. She wanted to meet him, but he looked upset. She wasn't sure she wanted to push buttons, even if it was on accident. She decided to wait even though she was itching to get up and introduced herself. NocturnX 2: His eyes move from the woman as he finishes the bottle of moonshine, placing it down upon the table in front of him. Slowly, he reaches into his pocket and takes out a pack of cigarettes and a small lighter that looked like a pistol. He clicks the trigger, making the flame appear and he lights his cigarette, taking in a long hit from it and letting the smoke fly from his mouth like cold air. It wasn't so much that he seemed upset, maybe more like emotionless. Being trained to kill, it is normally quite easy to lose your emotions. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She walked over to him, sitting down across from him. She watched the smoke billow around them, and spread into lighter areas. She leaned forward slightly, "May I have a smoke?" NocturnX 2: He removes one of the cigarettes from the pack, extending his hand slowly for her to grab it. Followed by that, he places his lighter in front of her and makes the flame appear, helping her light her cigarette. The pack of cigarettes and lighter return to his pocket slowly as he takes another hit, not saying a word the entire time. It was easy to tell that trust was not big with this man. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She took a drag and blew it out through her nose. She tried to evaluate him but he was hard to read. She took off her shades and floded them neatly setting them down near where her hands settled. She decided not to talk, thinking it would make things awkward. NocturnX 2: He holds the cigarette within his mouth, and quickly, his hand moves for his right gunblade, unsheathing it at the same time as he takes a cloth out from his pocket. The blade of this gunblade, as well as the other one, was stained with blood. It was not his intention to scare the woman if he did, he had just remembered to clean them. The blood came off easily and he twirls the blade around at a very fast rate, sheathing it quickly. The shock from his sheathing one blade makes the other fly from it's sheath. He catches it was ease and begins to clean it as well, taking in another hit from his cigarette. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: She watched him clean the blades quickly and effectively. She took another drag, blowing it out towards the the rest of the tavern, careful to avoid any getting in his face. She crossed her legs and dropped her hands to her lap, still watching him. "Who's blood was that?" she asked gesturing to the blades. NocturnX 2: After cleaning the second blade, he sheaths it and returns the cloth to his pocket. "This is the blood of a fool.." He said in a cold, yet calm and emotionless voice. Yes, he seemed some what evil, but he just did not want to get close to people, he had seen too many loved ones die. Slowly, he takes in the last hit the cigarette had to offer and then tapped it out within the ashtray. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: "A fool who threatened you? A fool who challeneged you? Or a fool who annoyed you?" she asked, thinking she fit very snugly into the third category. She took two more drags and stamped it out in the ashtray. NocturnX 2: "A fool who killed for pleasure..." He said, looking towards the bar and seeing another bottle of moonshine. Slowly, he makes his way over, grabbing the bottle and returning to his seat. The bottle was opened on his way over, and as he sat, he brought it to his lips. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: "So a fool who annoyed you."She extended her hand."You are a hero from the war, it is a pleasure and an honor to meet you." She watched his face for a reaction. NocturnX 2: His head leans forward to her in a bow, though he did not shake her hand. "If a hero is what you would call someone who took countless lives in pointless battles, then yes, I am." The drink was once again sipped lightly from and placed back down upon the table as he gazed upon the woman with his dark red eyes. This was who he is, and what he believed, and nothing, or no one, was ever going to change that. h20_carb0nm0n0x1de: "That is one way too look at it. But you weren't forced to fight, were you?" she leaned forward."They didn't make you aim and pull the trigger did they?" She didn't want to push him too far, but she did want to see multiple sides of the story. NocturnX 2: A sinister laugh falls from his lips as he gazed upon the woman. "I killed those creatures of my own free will. I am a warrior, and I am always looking to test my skills in combat. Yet even so, that makes me no hero. I simply did not want to lose the war for my own reasons. I could care less about this planet.."
