So, yeah, I'm a pilot. I flew VFR-on-top on Thursday. It was awesome. The best part of flying, by far. It's so awesome to fly through the clouds, lose all visual reference and then you suddenly pop out on top of the clouds... It's so surreal. It was great. It would have been better, but Travis made me practice slow flight and stalls. Doing stalls was horrible. We almost did some spins. Which normally wouldn't bug me, it was fun with Matt, trying to scare him and all... but when you don't expect it spins can be scary as hell. So, yeah, I kinda freaked out. The spin didn't develop, though. Only incipient, but that was enough to drop down back below the clouds. Which, by the way, makes it feel like you're about to bite the ground...
So, the moral of the story is: Stay coordinated when doing stalls!
