Tired of Revision? Yeah...me too.
Time to check on the Square Enix News Archive >=D.

Boring parts first? Yes, plox.

SE is making some sculptures surrounding the Final Fantasy VII series' plot. So far images of only an Aeris have been released. It features her attempting to summon holy (before Sephiroth comes along and *Whoops!* stabs her >.> xD).

Images are here:

Has anyone heard of the SE Titles: Dissidia or Monotone, btw? Nope? Okay then =D.

Square Enix begins work on it's first Xbox 360 game!

That's right. This is a Copy and Paste report, as I don't care very much and don't feel like typing so much:

Quote:
The world’s most revered producers of console role-playing games have unveiled a major new project for Xbox 360. Having seen the game in action, we must say this could be the “Halo 3” of RPGs when it arrives next year. In other words: just wow.

Newly announced “The Last Remnant” from Square Enix promises to bring the very best of storytelling and dramatic visual effects accompanied by a rousing musical score. The team responsible has been assembled from top ranked staff within Square Enix, not just on games but Hollywood CG that includes “The Animatrix” and “Final Fantasy Spirits Within”. Elite new talent has also been brought onboard to ensure The Last Remnant becomes another benchmark RPG.

You are cast as a young man named Rush who must fight to save his world from corruption. It is 1000 years since the appearance of mysterious artefacts that have become known as Remnants. Entire civilisations have been built round their giant structures to benefit from their life-giving power. Rush has been born to an era of endless fighting as men scheme to gain control of more than their fair share.

The cities, plains and caverns of Rush’s world are ornate, vast and brimming with next-generation detail. Fantastical races populate the busy streets, their colourful scales or dense furs glistening in the light. Monsters patrolling the caverns range from lumbering and huge to delicate on their wing.

Battlefields will be The Last Remnant’s crowning glory, however, with a combat system that allows for reinforcements to swell the ranks in real-time. Huge armies comprise foot soldiers and enormous beasts carrying war machines. Both sides summon colossal creatures to provide additional firepower when needed.

‘The Last Remnant’ is planned for simultaneous release in Japan and the United States at a date to be confirmed.

I've also supplied some scanned images from a Japanese magazine. If the links cease to work, just tell me - they're not my own uploaded images this time, 'cause they're so large:

Final Fantasy XIII Release news!?

Uh oh...

Looks like for sure, the series of games surrounding the 13th Final Fantasy are going to be pushed back to a bare minimum of late 2008. And even that's uncertain. They're saying that the game needs further time to be built up to scratch. Oh, and late 2008 is the Japan release date. God knows when we'll get it. Looks like we'll be playing the oldies, SSBM and FFXII for a while, eh? xD

Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced is not using multi player OR the Touch Screen!?

Shocking isn't it? The actual guy in charge of creating the sequel on the Nintendo DS said personally himself that there would be no multi player functions and the game would not take up any usage of the touch screen. ******** absurd if you ask me xD. I hope they know what they're doing, yo. (Jen quote? xD). Come to think of it, what was the point of putting it on a dual screen console with wireless and touch sensitive capabilities -.-?

There are a few other snippets, like a few flash games on the Square Enix Japanese sight revolving around Choco the chocobo, and also a competition for Square stuff that ends today, but I don't have the will anymore xD.

Once again, everything without a quote was written by me, credits for the quote goes to IGN and FFextreme, along with all images.

Enjoy.

FFT ... I don't really see what use the touch screen would be, unless it goes all pokemon and uses it for the battle menus. Wireless does seem a bit silly, they should have gone the Pokemon Route and allowed Trading of Characters and Battles on a global scale D: But still, it can still use the two screens xp It'll probably switch between which screen is used, depending on what needs to be done, Like Pokemon xd But Pokemon uses touch screen touching xp

Hmm, strange, the release quote of the DS isn't being used when making games. "Touch Me" I remember it being xd Quite a lot of the games have minimal usage of the touch screen.

BUT! Atleast Chocobo Tales will make use of most of the functions XD Like Blowing and touching, maybe even rubbing. I've only used the blowing and touching part though xd For about ten seconds while playing it at the convention xd

What else was I gonna say ...

OH YEAH! Ignore Choco, go with Boko!

And I want that Aeris Statue D:
