((I tried to utilize l33t splicing techniques, but for whatever reason it just doesn't work for me. Deal with it.))
Okay, so I haven't really talked to you people or anything lately so I figured that I'd enter in one of those updates on my life... wow, fun.
So anyway. Kennon Ai's the first thing I'd like to address. I haven't updated in what feels like ages (and it probably HAS been ages) because really it's getting sort of boring for me to keep typing all this stuff and contributing to a strange and muddled story-line. I have 40 somewhat typed up but it is not on the top of my list of things to do at the moment.
I have been writing, in case you've been wondering, but they have mostly been additions to a sort of rock opera (developing the plotline for the Tales of Isaac and James falls into this category as well since their story ties into the opera), another organized series of songs, and a different story about some young children living in a southern town, a la To Kill a Mockingbird, but the story is very different I can assure you. None of these works are finished, and I just started the latter story the other day.
I have been busy, of course. I just finished school and I'm definitely ready for the summer but I think that I still won't have much time. I'll be working and trying to get my learner's permit (one must learn to drive in a place as horrendous as Miami). I hate community service, but whatever. Deal with it.
As for my final grades, here they are, to those who were wondering. If you go to my school (well, it's not imperative) and would like to complain or celebrate the grades on your final exams, comment, kthnx. Biology: N/A Bible: 97 English: N/A Math: 90 Spanish: 98. My biology teacher is a lazyarse, so I didn't expect a quick response on that one. My English teacher, on the contrary, is a workhorse, but she has GOTTEN quite lazy. Honestly I think that I did very well. My essay was a work of art (and believe me, I KNOW when my work is excellent, considering that it usually never is), and my biology test was an absolute no-brainer, so I'm not concerned. It was absolutely miraculous that I scraped a 90 on my Geometry final because there was quite a bit I didn't know. I must have made some very educated guesses. I don't think I'll ever know what I missed and aced, but a 90 is good enough for me. I studied my tail off.
Moving on... I'm becoming a bookworm again. I'll be reading mythology tales in the summer, because 10th grade calls for some reading of more...classical literature. So we're going back to the Ancient Greeks, and later on I suspect we will be reading some of the wonderful Shakespeare's masterpieces. I'm looking forward to it. When I found out these past 10th graders were reading Othello, I nearly cried. Okay, well I suppose that's a bit of an exaggeration. But I really want to read it now. Heck, I'd get by even if it wasn't a No-Fear Shakespeare book, because the language isn't that hard to understand. Or maybe I just have a broad vocabulary.
Well, that's all for today's rant. Hope you had great weekends, and for those of you who are out of school: congrats. Summer's here and it feels damn good. For those of you not out yet: Summer's coming up. >>
