I finally ordered everything I need for my Momi-chan! Her body, clothes, and eyes are coming from Junkyspot, while the hair, carrying bag, and stand are coming from Luts.
My mother thought I was insane, but then she saw her face. She kept saying how pretty it was.
I'm so exited! I didn't want to spend too much on her, but it's still a little over $500 altogether.
I have no idea how long it'll take for her to arrive, but I hope it's soon. I'm wondering whether the Junkyspot stuff or the Luts stuff will come first.

Ok, so I just went to both sites to check the average shipping times for both stores, and I guess the Junkyspot stuff will be here first. Looks like Momi will be bald for a little while.

Oh, my dad keeps making fun of me for it. He keeps saying things about a 19-year old spending so much on a doll. He didn't made fun of me for my Barbies nearly this much!

God, I couldn't sleep last night! I had been looking through the box-opening forum at the Den of Angels, and all I could think about was the possible contents of the box! GWAA!!

Ok, so this morning as I left for work, I saw a big brown package in the back of the mail-truck. It looked to be the appropriate size for my doll plus some packaging, so for the rest of the day at work, I had a stabbing pain in my chest. (Or maybe it was the potato chips I had for breakfast, I dunno.) Anyway, it turned out that it wasn't her. Ah, well. I'll just make sure not to read any more box-opening stories tonight.
When Momi-chan does arrive, I will not be making a photo story for her box-opening. I'll videotape it and post a link to it here. There will be a sequel for when her hair gets here, too.

Well, one of the packages arrived today, but apparently no one was home to get it, so tomorrow I'll be getting up extra-early to go downtown to the post-office to get it. I would've gone to get it today, but my father wouldn't take me or let me go myself. Ahh, the joys of living with your parental units...

I got an e-mail from Junkyspot saying that they hadn't sent my doll yet because they were confused as to which address to ship it to. I cleared that all up, and she should be here by Tuesday, with a wig waiting for her. So looks like Luts wins this shipping round by a technicality.

Thanks! I went down to the post office when it opened at 8:30, which is early for me. I was so happy when I finally saw the Luts box! After that I stopped at my favorite cafe' for breakfast. When I got home my sister videotaped the opening of the box! You can watch it here. It's kind of quiet, though.
