*sounds like someone who announce things on tv* from the maker of "pokemon ^w^" comes this new and useless topic "Harvest moon"!
This topic was made for people who like this game and would like to discuss it.
Since the whole saga of games is almost the same you can talk about any of the versions except Rune Factory because its somewhat out of the original harvest moon.
This is a list of the HM games i've played before and therefore im open to give suggestions and tips:
-HM SNES.
-HM GBC.
-HM 64.
-HM GBC 2.
-HM GBC 3.
-HM: friends of mineral town (GBA)
-HM: more friends of mineral town (GBA)
Now things to discuss:
~which HM are you currently playing.

if you have the rumble disabled or are using a non-rumble controller like a Wave
Bird), press A to reel in your fish.

Yay, I love harvest moon. I lost my N64 version a couple years ago and am still sad about it.
I've played a whole bunch of them... I'm to lazy to name everyone.
Any ways currently I'm playing the ds version.
I realy wish they would make better mini games. They should bring back the egg hunt from the N64 and the tomato fight from the ps oh and the chicken fight too. It's so borring to just have them be like "you won!" Because you know for sure whether you will win before hand based on hearts.
Also what's up with the lame fireworks you'd think they could do a litle better now adays.
Any ways other then those few complaints I love the games.

Yeah, I know, I've tried, but I still can't get it. Not that it's a big deal, I do fine anyway, but I always found fishing in that one annoying is all.

@BarakReider: yeah the should have more minigames. i lvoed the egg hunt on the snes HM -.-
@momo-chan yeah fishing is annoying but its a way of getting money so we have to keep on it. btw have you ever fished a king fish on HM:MFoMT?
i've never even got the cursed/blessed/mythic tools -.-

Tch...I refuse to grow crops or fish. Too annoying. I keep to animals and bartering.
I'm pretty good at fishing in the MT games, depending on the season, but I can't say I remember what types.
And in all the minework I've done, I haven't found a single cursed tool, either. Nor have I been able to crush the darned rocks up at the mountain - you?

they can only be crushed with the cursed/blessed/mythic tools but dont worry they arent even worth the work. the only thing you get for crushing those things is a damn truffle on fall and those things are only 500g worth. silly people who waste their money and cursed minerals on that thing rolleyes
And... i dont know how can you waste your time on the animals O.o seriously for me thats the most annoying thing EVER! i really cant stand the animals but i always give it good care and leave them outside in sunny days. and i've had plenty of G giving animals. have you ever gotten a P egg/wood/milk?

Eh. I guess I just don't like watching the plants grow. I like the grass, but that's only because it doesn't have to be watered.
Besides, you can't name each plant - I like naming things.

someone: Oh hi momo what are you gonna do now.
you: im gonna water [insert name here]
someone: water {insert name here]? who is [insert name here]?
you: oh, it my plant in a videogame called Harvest moon.
someone: o...k... O.o *runs away*

Ah, I see.
Er...yeah...weird looks would be unavoidable in that case. ^^;
The only thing about the animals I don't like is that when (in Mineral Town) you have to cram a bunch of them into the barn, and then you can't remember which ones you took care of for the day already, then miss one and it almost unavoidably gets sick. -_-

Uh.. yeah -___- i once had 16 cows (i brought most of them at once) and it was a living hell for me every time i entered the barn -___- i prefer chickens because if you let them out, in a fence of course, they dont need to be fed and they love you more that way. oh and if you wnat to know how to get P quality eggs you just need to let a chicken 600 hours out of the barn, needs to win the chicken contest, and it has to have more than 8 hearts.

This I have to say is a most awesome game series, my favorites would have to be Harvest Moon (SNES), Harvest Moon 64, Harvest Moon Back to Nature, and Harvest moon Magical Melody. I even saw a copy of the SNES version for a $100 -_- though if I get enough money its worth it ^-^.

We are all a little weird
and life's a little weird,
and when we find someone whose
weirdness is compatible with ours... @ Ronin of Twilight: psh... download the game and a snes emulator... thats what i do ninja
@ JizoClock: WHA-!? you have HM DS? waaaaah i cant wait for my birthday and get it crying .
HM: MFoMT is my favorite one too (maybe because i havent played as much as th other ones)
the ones i wanna try are HM DS and Tree of peace/Heroes.
damn right. those glitches are really annoying -__- and the cows and sheep's really get me pissed (i once had 16 cows and got so pissed that let them all die)
haha, my game has never freezed >3 ...we join up with them
and fall in mutual weirdness
and call it love.
