Most people noticed this morning that everyone's avatars disappeared for awhile (a lot of people likened this to the pre-upgrades that happened before the famous Zombie skins - so there's lots of Vamp talk going).

BUT, someone else pointed out that if you go into Towns, chat is fine if you go on the map - BUT, when at the Trainstation, the text is COMPLETELY screwed up and nothing comes out as it should - it all comes out as symbols and random letters - this is either a strange ONE MAP only glitch (I'm thinking no... since nothing on that map ever changes), or it's a prelude - a useful decoder to be used further into the plot.

What do you think?

Heh, I'd love a massive Towns wide secret coding mystery. As for whether it is or not... dunno. Towns has hated me recently because of the massive hunt for bugs, so confirming or denying it will have to wait until my comp stops sulking.

Though, when I saw all the X'd avatars, I thought it was caused by anyone wearing the orchid brooch. Only because my mule is an X and is wearing it, and I'm not. XD;

Though, when I saw all the X'd avatars, I thought it was caused by anyone wearing the orchid brooch. Only because my mule is an X and is wearing it, and I'm not. XD;

By that logic it could be any item that your mule is wearing that you're not.

I doubt anything in the plot will be centered in towns without a non-towns counterpart, because lots of people can't always access towns, and some people can't use towns at all.

A few of my friends encountered that before, they even made a little decoder for each of the symbols. It's weird but I don't think it's anything.
