First off, kudos to Austin for setting up the new rules in the DTTPAY CB thread! Since you posted them, the demand for certain amounts of gold or items in a trade have went down quite a bit! Thank you!

Now on to business... there is a new trend that I've seen popping up in the CB donation thread that is really starting to get under my skin. Alot of people are now making a note in their posts, stating that if they are below you, YOU must start the trade with them. To me, this seems to be nothing more than laziness on their part. I have even seen a post where a member stated that they lost their short term memory in an accident and that you have to start a trade with him if he is below you, because as soon as he posts, he forgets he is supposed to send a trade. I have also noticed that people use the excuse that their computer freezes up if they send a trade or everytime they send a trade they get an error message, hence the reason why you mut start the trade with them. Getting an error message once or twice I can see, but repeatedly, it's kinda hard to believe. My threory is, if your trade feature isn't working then why are you in the thread in the first place? If you can't send then how can you receive?

I have also noticed, that nine out of ten of these people with such posts, are posting in the thread almost every minute or so ( which makes me feel like they are trying to rake in more donations without having to worry about starting trades on their end because they told the person above them to do so ) and that when you actually do start a trade with them, it either gets cancelled or ignored. Is anyone else here running into such people and is this really allowed? I do not feel it is my duty to start a trade with the person below at the same time I'm starting a trade with the person above me.

All in all, I guess I just needed a place to vent my frustrations and to see if anyone else was annoyed by the people below them saying they have to start the donation, not them.

That bugs me, too. They should be hunted down with pitchforks like the poll said. Or blacklisted. xD

That fries me, too. Almost as much as people who send a trade the INSTANT (I don't even know how they do it so fast) I post below them. I hate trying to open up a trade with someone two seconds after I post and discovering there is already a trade open because they initiated it.

It is the responsibility of the person below to begin the trade, and if they fail to do so, then a polite PM is in order from the person above.

Some of us check wishlists and send gifts instead; that means we have to cancel the trade anyway. I had one person PM men INCREDIBLY rude message saying I skipped her. I told her to check her inbox for her rather expensive gift and basically got back an "Oh. OK."

OK, OK, time to get a tea and cool down. confused

I get that too, people sending me a trade almost the instant they post below me. It's annoying as all get go and it only makes me want to donate less to the person then I would have otherwise. If I get a rude PM from someone because I was taking longer than usual to send a trade ( usually because I'm looking over their wishlist or scouring the marketplace ) I respond back saying, well I was looking over your wishlist to buy you something, but with an attitude like this, I think I'll pass.

I've politely responded to the people who want me to start a trade with them telling them that is not how the thread works, and the answers I usually get are, either you start the trade or you don't get anything or though luck, these are my rules, obey them. It's sad that people have become so greedy over there. Before the new rules were set, if I noticed someone was DEMANDING they get a certain amount of gold or certain items, I would send them anything but and state in the trade that the thread goes by it's own rules, not theirs.

Too bad Gaia doesn't give a genocide option so we can just get rid of the people.

i agree with girukon lol. I delt with it too for a while, and then I finally put something in my post that said, if they cant wait for me to send them a trade before i post again, they wont get anything, and cant pm me unless i post again or really did skip them. haha...i felt like a bee notch at first but its better than having to deal with the greedy people. *thinks austin should have something like that up there*

Since I've been in the guild I've not been to the thread in the CB, but that would tick me off to no end. evil

Hey Kelikala, you should put an option in your poll that says "all of the above except option b"! I'd pick that one!

Amen. Now that there's a donate thread here I pretty much stick to this. I don't donate quite as frequently, but I am able to give better gifts to more deserving people.

Yeah, I give way better donations here, the last time I went to the CB I got 10 peices of trash and 5 tokens. I really hate too how it's just post after post of people begging like dogs or being demanding greedy n00bs.

Thanks Austin. Hopefully that will help out alot!

I love donating at the CB thread because I've met alot of wonderful people through there, but the greed and the OBEY MY RULES OR ELSE was just getting to be too much. I took a break away from there for a week recently just to get away from it all.

I give away better donations here as well. I either give a large sum of gold, a wishlist item or a quest item. Depends on my mood for the day.

When I'm at the CB thread I can almost guarantee what I'm gonna get ( between 10 - 30 gold and trash ) but I have been blessed by quite a few people over there so I guess it evens out.

I was giving away 100g or more almost every time in the CB... I don't mind getting low donations off poor people but.. when lazy people below me have the message "If u want your donation plz start the trade" well that annoys me.

Also one guy sent me an open trade with the message "don't skip me" about 20 seconds after he posted. I was actually setting up the trade as he posted. I pm'd him back asking him to be a little more patient next time.

I don't like it when people say things like "I only want tickets or tokens.." I try to give people things they are collecting but if I have no tickets or tokens then I usually give them something they can sell like flame pants or a couple of masks..

My gold went down by over 10k after a week in the CB thread.. sad People are much fairer here.

I'd like to see all the serial skippers banned from the CB thread, that would show them. eek
