I'm just curious. Include all deceased members (That means Sasori too). Orochimaru DOES NOT COUNT.
I would have to say my favorite is/was Kakuza, althoguh Deidara is a close second. So it would go...
1.) Kakuza
2.) Deidara
3.) Zetsu
4.) Kisame
5.) Hidan
6.) the leader
7.) Itachi/Sasori (I hate them both equally)
The final two (Tobi and the unknown member) I don't know enough about to judge.

How can you hate Sasori of the Red Sand? He's my favorite. for real, whats your reasoning for the dislike? Granted its your opinion, i'm not saying your wrong or change it, just wanna know more is all.

Granted its your opinion, i'm not saying your wrong or change it, just wanna know more is all. Well, I thought he was extremely cool in the beginning. He moved around inside a puppet, and then the human puppet technique just made him cooler. Then he took off his Akatsuki robe and revealed HE was a puppet. His coolness just went down from there. I just don't like villains who strip away their own humanity. It's really the same reason I hated Sai. Although it seems the characters with the coolest abilities have the greatest flaws in my eyes. I really love Sai's jutsu, but the whole emotionless thing bores me. I liked Hidan until they cut off his head AND HE WAS STILL ABLE TO TALK. As for Itachi... I just hate sharingan more and more each time the series shows it off. Kakashi is the only exception. He seems to be the only one who's not omnipotent with it, although that's probably because he's not an Uchiha.

Leader and unknown aren't on there because I don't know enough about them to judge.
I actually like all the Akatsuki except Itachi. I agree with Semblance about the whole Sharingan omnipotence thing, except Kakashi also drives me crazy. I know he's not as perfect as the two Uchihas, but he has this air of being infalible until the battle is over. Also, his cocky attitude drives me crazy.
To be honest, the only Sharingan user I like is Obito.

Anyone seen the new chapter? Deidara HAS ANOTHER MOUTH! That stitching has Kakuza written all over it though. I'd really love to know if those mouths are a bloodline or some sort of procedure he performs on himself.
