If God knows from the moment we are born whether we are going to go to heaven or hell then whats the point in trying to live a certain way? No matter what God's will would be done and you would end up going to hell or heaven anyway.

And, if everything is predetermined, then God knows what your choices are going to be...leaving there really no choice at all...it was all predetermined by God. So then we dont really have free will, just the illusion of it.

And wouldnt that mean that people cant really change? that theres no real hope for anyone becuase God may have already damned them to hell?

And wouldnt that also leave prayer pointless? If God has already chosen for something to happen it would happen despite what we want. Like if someone prays for another person to get better but they die instead.

If anyone can clairify this i would be very gratefull.

God lets us pick because we are his children...not his slaves

the prodigal son is a good example of this

near the end the boy comes back saying i will work lower than the slaves to be with you and he says noncence

we are given the chance to be free to choose weather to sin or to be sinless

the answer to your question will lie when you get to heaven and can ask him there all you wish to know ^^

he gave us a choice so that we are not like angels (the servants)

he loves us that much....did you know and this may bewilder you...but angels...envy us. because we can choose to serve or not to serve...they cannot

When people say God is omnisient and therefore we don't have freewill, they are in a way, limiting God. Since He does know all, he knows the outcome of everychoice you could possibly make. There's not just one path and He knows that and He wants you to take the right one but he won't force you.

I like the way you put that Mangachan, I don't think I could have said it better.
