In this day, do we really need feminists? I've heard people picking on them that they are over reacting and making a big deal out of nothing because they already have equal rights. are they right? I've also heard feminist make very good points about the injustices that good on every day to women. are they right? I've also heard men saying that women are inferior or just different, and that sufferagists have done enough damage. (I shouldn't even ask this because I am a woman, but) are they right? what do you feel about them?

As it stands, I see it decently equal. I'm not saying it is completely equal. I can name several inequalities of the genders, for example pay: women still get paid less than men for doing the same job. I don't think society will achieve perfection of this, because we are naturally unequal. So in order to be equal we would be unequal. If that made any sense, at all.
I think that we do need feminists though. They try for closer equal rights.

Haven't you noticed that most guys would like it if a woman said "nice a**" in the work place. But if there was a guy who actually didn't like it. I think they would be dealt with in the same way. <3

@ Corn: Not all countries have equal rights for women. Women are still not completely equal in even the US either. And have you ever actually thought about what caused them to hate men so much? They could be completely justified with their beliefs.

It is still very much a patriarchial society in America. How many women CEOs are there? Why has there never been a female president or vice president? Why are women still pushed towards courses like home-economics? That being said, why is it okay for women to be gay or to show public affection and not men? Why are men pushed towards shop (wood, metal, or auto)? Economically, men have the upper hand. Men make more money faster and for less work. Men are seen as confident and strong and women as flighty and emotional, in the work place. Socialy, women have many more freedoms. Why is it okay for a woman to wear a suit, but not for a man to wear a dress? It's ridiculous. No one is equal and it will take longer than my lifetime for them to get close enough to an acceptable level. I think feminists, though revenge feminists are a bit insane and sadistic, are delightful and wonderful and I will march along side them for equal rights any time. Feminism has brought about more positive social change than almost any other movement, because not only did they help women, but they helped other persecuted groups in the process. Word.

As a man, I don't like to be treated like meat. Compliments can be nice, but harassment is harassment.
That being said, I don't think things like saying, "Nice a**." should constitute as sexual harassment as it does not show sexual intent. I've seen gay men and women say things like this to those of the opposite sex, in which there's obviously no sexual intent. Does that still constitute as harassment? If so, why? It's a compliment. It should be that case that harassment is actually...harassing. Saying something like, "I want to bend you over." Yeah, that's harassment but simple compliments being misconstrued as sexual misconduct is disgusting and more harmful than most actual harassment.
Getting back to the main topic, I've always said, "Sexism is sexual misconduct." smile

They could be completely justified with their beliefs, but if they were that would make them complete hypocrites in that they are just as sexist as their bizarre and twisted perception of the men they harrass with their stuck up and bigotted pathetic attention seeking. Yes, it was needed in 1912, no it's not needed now, at least in countries where there is equality of the sexes, they need to get over themselves and their pathetic values and their screwed up beliefs that all men are evil and that they are for some reason, superior. Great, they have vaginas, now can they please shut the hell up.

Oh and by the way, it isn't that woman see "nice a**" as sexual intent or harrasment. Just that when women who aren't asking for it (i.e. aren't showing massive amounts of cleavage, or showing a thong) it is disrespectful and inaprioriate. If a woman is in a suit, they aren't looking to get told they have a "nice a**." That is a serious problem, it shows that they think women are there for them to hit on them.
@Corn:
I'm not condoning "faminazis" as you call them. There is a difference between wanting more womens rights, to have equality of the genders and wanting more rights for women over men.
To them their percepion of men isn't twisted. And I don't actually see that many sexist women harrassing men. I haven't heard of them going around egging houses or hitting men just for fun.
There will never be complete equality of the sexes. Or atleast in the next century probably. I, personally, don't see it happening ever.
