Have you guys seen the latest announcement and read through the info page? Thoughts on the new Battle System that is to come?
Personally, I never enjoyed Gaia Towns and that format of interface and from the screenshots of the Battle System, it's sort of like that. I like the idea as I have played Maplestory, Flyff, and Ragnarok Online (RO being my current choiche of MMORPG), but I have sort of mixed feelings about how Gaia isn't really Gaia anymore and this Battle System is making it so different. I duno, I'll check it out once it comes out - but really not so enthusiastic about it confused .

I only ever go to the towns to catch bugs n stuff...idk I could do w/ or w/o this new battle thing....as long as you can earn gold from it though I'm all for it! razz But idk what Gaia used to be like so I don't really have anything to compare what's it's becoming to...

I'm with you there, Kai. I remember back in 2004, I thought the battle system would be so awesome. Though, now I couldn't care less.

My thoughts exactly. Battle system isn't something that I'd play, though... then again, I don't touch any of the games on Gaia.

I'm super pumped about it... I've been waiting for the battle system to come into play since I joined in '03. it's practically the entire reason I joined... rofl
I'm kind of a hermit, so I think I'm really going to like it, where I can run off and just adventure to kill time rather than wait for someone else to reply to my last post.
the games are fun if you can get them to run properly, and if you decrease quality a little they go faster...
I'm also excited to find out how they incorporate the quest system into the battle system to get rare items, as well as old event/donation items.

I saw people making clans & stuff already in the forum. I hope we won't have to team up w/ people...sometimes I just wanna be alone y'know, especially when it comes to battling stuff...we'll see...

Again, Gaia is taking away from it's main attraction. Forums. But I think it's cute. Like the enemies and whatnot. I can't wait for the backstory. The first thought I had about it was, "OMG. It's like a Gaia version of Marchen Awakens Romance." With the rings and whatnot. Haha.

I think all the new features are getting to be a bit much, but what can you do?
Autumn: I would like to see how they coordinate the Quest system with the Battle system.

i miss gaia just being forums.
but really with the population boom around here the past few years they have to make new stuff for people to do.
and besides they would have so much money if they didn't spend it paying people to come up with and design and fix all these things.
i figure it is a business, and in the world of business you have to stay ahead of the competition.
so that's what they're doing.
they can't get left in the dust.
so they have to make newer, bigger and better things.

I'm excited to see what it's about, I like walking around and whacking things. It could suck though...but what I really wish is that before all the new things, they'd fix some of the other bugs.

Kai: Haha. 'Cause I read a few volumes on it awhile back, and it just popped into my head once I saw the rings. Since the manga looked so good, I was so excited to watch the TV series too. I think it's okay. <3
