When I couldn't decide what to do with my whole problem with my girlfriend, her best friend, and my mind not getting over 'HER' (Different girl altogether) I went into a numbed stated..... My girlfriend and I broke up and I stopped talking to almost every real person I know. One day I received an I.M from somebody I would have sworn I ignored. *Cough* 'Her *Cough* We went into this conversation and the more we spoke the more my vortex of a heart decided it liked her again. I couldn't stop these feelings. She asked if she could call me and I said it was alright.... When I heard her voice a feeling of ecstacy long since past.... A long conversation and I told her my feeling, again, and she went silent. A sobbing voice came algong and asked me why I always came back and I couldn't answer. We went off reminiscing about our past and all in all it turned out interesting. I asked her if she wanted to go to the gathering with me and she told me she couldn't let me pay. I talked her into it.... The only catch is I have to convince her parents. I have no clue how to pull this off...

for real. forget that girl. let her pay her own way. if you had to try to get her to let you pay, she probably feels guilty about u doing it, so you're just spending your money and not really pleasing her. love DOES bite.

I'm not into the whole let's redate your ex thing. If you broke up once there is no stopping it from happening over and over again so what's the point? I was dumped cuz this guy wanted to date his ex again and they went on and off the entire time I was with my new b/f....it was stupid.
dating your ex again is just gonna end up in heartbreak. If your with someone that's your life long partner then that stuff would never happen.
I have to agree with Innocently...it's a bad idea...take a new chick or your buddies...NOT YOUR EX.....

Let me PLEEEASE try to set you straight.
No offense to you lettes out there, but I personally couldn't handle bringing a girlfriend with me to the gathering. maybe she's not your gf but there's a history. ANYWAY.......when I brought my girlfriend last year, she just gave me a hard time. That's the simplest way I can put it but I can elaborate if you want.
Bottom line is.....you do you, and enjoy the gathering to the fullest.

lol GiO maybe the girl you took just didn't like that kind of fun? But we're not all like that. You shouldn't judge any other girl based on the one you're dating if you find another one...she might love and dig the Gathering....
BMW....I still stand firm on not going with your ex girlfriend...I'm sorry....I just see something bad waiting to happen....like what happened in one of my past relationships.....

sad the way i discovered love.. lol
but no.. being a gentleman you have to pay... lol love is love and it is you who decides if it is true or not.. you follow your heart and do what you see as best.. as for the parent deal.. well...
ive always had good luck with peoples parents.. lol (*shrugs* cept a couple of my friend's parents but blah) um.. basicly be upfront about it.. dont linger around the idea.. your going to go in and they are going to see it on you that something is up so get it out and in the open.. if they dunno what it is explain it to em..and all that..
you are as you are.. so dont try to act a certain way... parents have an eye for picking this out.. dont play games with them.. convincing them.. well it depends on a few factors... but basicly... its simple stuff.. just tell em you wanna take her.. *shrugs* thats what i'd do..
