Alrighty then! Hiya. Just as the title says, I am currently rewatching the GW series. Why? Because Gundam Wing was a hit and of course, everyone here loves it. (duh) But the other day I couldn't even sit down and write a fanfiction about it. And considering this is me saying this, that's a very weird and bad thing. So, that's why I'm doing it. I can hardly remember the series anyway.
Have you realized the some of the dialogue is kind of....lame? I don't mean to offend the series or anything but it's true! Take a look at some of the episodes and listen to it carefully. Sure, you still got to love it, but it made me laugh...
Examples:
Duo calling Heero "Pally" and calling him "Evel Knievel" etc etc.
Basically anything Relena says (Yes, I, a Relena fan, laughed at her.)
And Wufei just saying "woman" and the whole scene with Noin
In Ep. 5, Heero's socks...(no, it's not dialogue and not all that funny but for some reason, it made me giggle)
Now I know this isn't a lot but I figure you'd know what I'm talking about. Have any of you ever experienced moments where you just blink, rewind and relisten to what was said and laugh at the series? Please feel free to leave any comments you have on this! I know this isn't much of a discussion and I'm sorry if I sound like I'm making the series sound bad, but the guild is kind of dying and I'm quite bored...
Also, I will edit the examples when I find new things in the series that make me laugh. I might also make a contest type of thing where the best quote wins. (Maybe anyway, and yes, it will come from my own pocket, not from the guild)

i have the dvd and try to watch them when ever i can. I used to love watching them on tv. I wish they played again, but only the uncut ones. I hated the cut ones they would should. its not a bad thing to show blood alest to me.

I know EXACTLY how you feel Relena. I am still fond of the series myself but there are times when I watch it and just crack up.
Of course I suppose I am prone to crack up even more because when I first saw Gundam Wing I didn't just love it, I swore up and down that it was the greatest thing ever put on God's green earth. I was the WORST fan girl imaginable and reffused to listen to anyone who didn't agree with my point of view. I tend to look back on those days with disgust now sweatdrop

I tend to look back on those days with disgust now sweatdrop I always said it was the best thing in the world too. It was just "OMG CUTE GUYS! AHHH!" for me mostly though... (being a girl getting into boys at that time around 10+) And I actually find it funny that I loved it so much (and still do for some reason) because I have no idea what they're saying half of the time since it's military stuff. And yeah....now that I look back on those days I feel really disgusted by the way we acted about animes.

I laugh at most dub dialog... because it's almost all lame... regardless of series. There's very few that I haven't laughed at.

I was recently given the whole DVD set of Gundam Wing (horray for me~) and I have rewatched the whole entire series in one day (yes...I have no life. =_=).
I can relate with the Wufei and his tendency to use the word 'woman' as sort sort of insult towards Noin. xD

I just finished a marathon from ep1 to endless waltz five minutes ago. i hadn't turned the Tv off in a few days.
Me and the four others that live in the house were using as a reference for cosplay outfit requests.
My fingers are so sore and bloody.

I wish they would continue with the Gundam Wing series. After watching Endless Waltz, I kind of felt disappointed. It made me yearn for more Gundam Wing. xd Like having it take place years down the road or something (If it does get a continuing series, I hope they bring Treize back. X3)...

I watched "Ronen Warriers" again recently, and, lol.... rofl You should look at some other animes you used to watch before you complain about Gundam Wing...
Too many anime dubs are lame to begin with. My prime example right now is Naruto. Other times the dubs try to use slang but it quickly goes out of date.
Personally I still find GW to be a decent dub.

Yyyea...I was watching a few episodes last night and I kinda felt the same way. ^^; Of course,I was watching it in Japanese and really had no idea what they were saying,but I could read the subtitles.
I can't remember a specific scene at the moment but yea.I definitely have had that feeling >_>
And...I was like that too when I first started getting interested in anime ._.;; It was a pitiful time in my memories sweatdrop
