The way this works is as follows:
You make a wish (anything related to FF will do, from 'I wish I had Auron's sword' to 'I wish Jenova hadn't killed the ancients') and then wait.
Example:
I wish Aerith hadn't died.
Then, the next poster grants your wish, but corrupts it. A new wish made, and the game continues.
Example:
Granted, but she didn't die because Cloud jumped in front of Sephiroth's blade, saving her but causing his death.
I wish...
So, I'll start then...
I wish FFXI wasn't online.

Granted, but it's not because it's on a console; it's only because the servers went down...
I wish all of the previous games had Advent Children-quality graphics.

Granted but since they looked so good graphically, reviews of the future games got more extreme and their for they got bad reviews because of the smallest flaws (I know this ones bad but my brain finished it's shift at 9am).
I wish I was a monkey kid hybrid thing like Zidane xd

Granted, but his change of heart would lead him to be the worst character ever. Fans would hate him, and leading game magazines and critics would call it 'the worst Final Fantasy ever to be made'. It would be taken off the shelves, and burned beyond salvation. Due to this failure, the entire franchise of Final Fantasy would crash, and Square would eventually go out of business, leaving us to the mercy of the Xbox.
I wish Auron came back to life after the end of X.

Granted, but he came back tainted and became a villian. Then, ends up killing Yuna in a horrible way, shaming her beyond belief before hand.
I wish FFXII was a bit longer than it was.

Granted, but the game designers would be so pressed for ideas that the main villan would change into a smelly gym sock for it's final form.
I wish they'd remake FFVII for the PSP or PS3.

Granted, but they cut out Aerith's death because it's "too violent" and edit all of the dialogue to include horrible American pop culture references. twisted

Granted, but they replaced her with an even more annoying character that is somehow involvoed in nearly every bit of storyline in the game.
I wish Zack hadn't died.
((that took me a while to think of a reason why Quina not existing would be bad...))

 Granted. He's the guy in the tunnel in the slums. Cloud and the others try to force him into rehab but he won't have it, he's too depressed, he just sits in his tunnel drinking all day.

Granted, but his level of fandom would rise to the level of Cloud/Vincent/Sephiroth, till it got to the point where you could not admit to liking him without being branded as an irritating n00b/loser.
I wish they would re-release FFVIII and FFIX.

Granted, they're released on the 360 as platform games with systems similar DoC.
They make the following changes:
You can only junction one GF to each character at a time. Squalls gunblade actually shoots, and he plays just like Vincent in DoC, Irvine can only shoot and the rest are melee.
Squall marries Rinoa.
Irvine marries Selphie.
There's a secret ending where Cid and Edea have a baby. (Which paves the way for a sequel where Rinoa, Selphie and Quistis have to defeat the evil super-sorceress baby, because Cid was actually a ghost, and ghost DNA mixed with Sorceress DNA is very, very bad, apparently.)
Squalls dad is actually President Deiling, and he tells Squall this with his dying breath when Seifer kills him in the TV station, and there's a scene with Squall holding Pres.Deiling in his arms screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
In IX you can only play as Zidane, and you play it similar to Prince of Persia style, only without time-sand powers, you use his tail to swing between bars and trees and such.
Vaan and Penelo make cameo appearances in IX, Vaan runs every Synthesis shop on Gaia and Penelo looks after all the moogles with Eiko.
Vivi dies in Oeilvert.
Queen Brahne is a playable character in a side quest, but is replaced by Quina when she dies. Quina is given absolutely no backstory, he/she just turns up and starts doing all the stuff Brahne did.
There's a side quest where you have to stuff black mages with straw and then bring them to life with a lazer gun.
I wish XIII would come out this year.

o.o that... last wish would SUCK
ahem.
Granted. However due to the fact they rushed the process to finish early, the ending will be a "suprise twist(ed) ending" which leaves all gamers in a perpetual state of wtf-dom due to it's complete lack of closure and loose ends.
I wish Axel hadn't died in KH2.

Ooh, here's an evil one. Granted, but rather than dying, he is trapped in Atlantica, forced into Sing-Alongs... And he can't even torch the place!
I wish Kuja were the final boss in IX.

((I've never played either VIII or IX, so that wish granting didn't really affect me. ['cept for the whole 'DoC' bit] xd ))
Granted, but the real final boss would be so distraught at being replaced that he/she/it have a mental breakdown. Several years would be spent in therapy, with the end result being a self-help book that sells billions of copies. He/She/It would be so popular that he/she/it would appear on Oprah and tell the world his/her/its story. People would be so moved that all the tabloids (and some of the more respectable magazines) would bash Kuja to such an extent that he (?) could never take another job and would thus be forced to work at Walmart until he (?) eventually gave into drinking and drugs and died a sad, forgotton death in broad daylight in the gutter of a busy street.
I wish you got to fight Venat.
