I did some research and to me the leader of Akatsuki has to be one of these 2 great Ninjas. Madara Uchiha, the first and most powerful Uchiha or the Third Kazekage, who was the strongest Shinobi the Sand Village has ever had, was presumed dead and who's body was never found. All that is known for sure is that whoever it is, is a very strong Shinobi.

I am going to go ahead and say neither smile Uchiha Madara, I believe is dead, and as I showed you in the other forum...The Thrid Kazakage is dead and being used as a puppet, I actually have a theory that it is someone else, I will get my thoughts together here is a bit but check out this pic...

I think it's a new character. My theory is that Madara fought the first Hokage at the Valley of End, so the other statue is Uchiha Madara.
Sasori turned the third kazekage into a puppet.
I am pretty sure Yondaime is dead.
It's probably a new character.

Hey GS I think it would be cool if it was Madara but I think it is a future version of Naruto...that is why he is in a future looking city in this pic from the manga 
, he also has incredible techinques and we all know Naruto has unlimited potential, can also be why he is obsessed with capturing the Jinchuuriki, and just giving all these excuses why (ransoming the ninja nations...)I think he at some point loses control of Kyuubi and destroys Konoha and is stuck alone, with his burden that becomes an obsession of setting things right.Naruto creates his technique so not only clone, and communicate, telepathically, but travel back and fix all that he has lost, you only see one Akatsuki ever with him, (the shadowed figure) it might be Sakura and she helped him so that they achieve or at least see their past selves achieve their ultimate goal of saving Sasuke...and that is why he needs to stop himself so that when it does happen the Kyuubi and it's infinite rage and some type of hate for Uchiha will not ruin everything...I actually am still working on this theory but here it is...tell me what you think.

He also talks about the "Will of Fire" at one point and seems almost annoyed when the Hidan talks down on it...then try's to cover it up with including all the Ninja nations...

Yeah, I already decided he is probably of Konoha. You know what would be cool, if the leader was one of Yondaime's childhood teammates under Jiraiya. 3nodding Tho it's doubtful. lol

SketchxNinja That would be nutz...I really think that would be crazy!!! And and and it never showed the other male ninja in Yondaime's teams eyes, he had them shut in the picture. We know already defining traits of Leader's eyes. Almost sharingan like with the very distinct line in the iris, meaning it's a solid color. Actually Yondaime's eyes are just like that, and Naruto's are kind of like that too... Sorry, none of that was really discussion, just thinking out loud, so don't take it as an actual opinion yet, just a consideration. lol...

The Naruto theory seems stupid at first, but it's pretty good, and we know Kishimoto is capable of genius, after all, Shikamaru was created ^^ Yeah, Jiraiya knows quite a bit. You know, it wouldn't be such a pain for them to deal with Akatsuki if Jiraiya would train a small team and go take them on. Jiraiya alone could probably demolish every Akatsuki member we know of so far. But no, he just says he wants to leave it to younger generations, aka he wants to spy on girls and thinks the safety of mankind isn't as important. lol
