Yes, I was disappointed with the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie last night. I did not like Keira Knightley at all and it seemed like Disney was relying on special effects more than plot in this movie. Also, Calypso was a Greek goddess and in this movie she wasn't Greek. A lot of the details in this movie disappointed me.
I hope they make a 4th movie, because the end of the 3rd one set up a new plot and it seems like that plot is more substantial and more plausible than the plot of the newest movie.

Agreed. I was really let down by the movie. For one, why the crap was it 'THE ELIZABETH SHOW!!! STARRING ELIZABETH!!! featuring everyone else'? The "epic battle" went on for seventeen years and the whole Calpyso storyline REALLY could have been handled better and not just because she's Greek. That didn't matter but the fact that it was a complete cop-out did.
Hands down, the best part of that movie was Keith Richards. 3nodding

Ok, so I'm the dork who paid attention to pretty much everything. I doubt there will be a fourth movie. There's no more story to tell. Will gets to be with his child and beloved Lizze, the end.

I still don't think the Calypso sub-plot was worth it. I mean, she's a Greek goddess. Not from the Caribbean. Oh well. If they make a fourth one, I'll probably see it just cause I've seen the first 3. I'm a dork like that.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. That was too much. And she turned into crabs. Come on.

Claudia de Lenfent Yeah, I'd have to agree. That was too much. And she turned into crabs. Come on. That didn't spurn enough STD jokes. Everyone I've talked to who's seen it said the exact same thing I did when I saw it:
'haha, she has crabs!'
I still maintain that Keith was the best part of that movie. Too much Elizabeth, too many plots, Jack was kind of just parodying himself, not enough Norrington.

On the bright side, I thought it had a great soundtrack.

*Still hasn't seen it* So, did they end up saving Jack?
Also: I don't think Calypso was a goddess, was she? I thought she was just an enchantress. *Could totally be wrong because she hasn't read her Greek mythology for a very long time*
And I didn't think all that much of Pirates II, either, but it had a wicked cool soundtrack, too. Soundtracks make it all better.

I liked the slight continuation of development of Will and Norrington. I didn't like how in the second movie there was some development of Jack, and they completely dropped it in the third for comic relief. That annoyed me. I think that was the thing that bothered me most about it. Other than that, I enjoyed it.

The development of Jack in Pirates II was great. I loved Norrington - he was just so adorably funny (for all the wrong reasons, of course). Will and Elizabeth both annoy me (but I did think Bootstrap in Pirates II was pretty cool).
Also, a good soundtrack does not a good movie make. Harry Potter and Pirates are both examples of this.

I was really disappointed in the third movie. It was an action movie. And, they didn't really go anywhere with the whole "Will saw Elizabeth kiss Jack".

Lol.
Out of all of the movies, I still think the first movie is my favourite.
