I've ehard random chat of wants and "gonnabe's" of the battle system since I was a nooblet in 05 and I just wanna know, how long has this whole BS thing been going on. When was it first posted and is there any proof of actual leakage besides the panel vids?

The idea for the system was mention in 03, but it was first confirmed that is was being made in 06 in an Announcement. I don't know if you've seen it yet, so heres the link, Week of 11/05/06 - Battle System, Halloween and More.
And aside from the Dev Fleep who's posted somel info on the system in the Main Forums, two of the known Developers working on the system, Truantduck and swarf have posted off and on some spiffy tidbits of info on the system here in the Guild. We know that much progress has been made. And it was said that Truantduck would be talking about more on the system in the upcoming Cons. blaugh

With all of this "bone throwing" at us to make us shut up about the BS I am sure they will do it this year.
Yes I know we now talk MORE about the BS than before, but now we don't spam so much on the other forums and we now complain more than we ask about the BS.
This because some people want it now.
Others don't want it at all and there are many that wanted animations for their avis weapons instead of the ring system.
I just want to play...... xd xd

The admin did say they would release more on the BS over the next months, so we are not looking at 2 or 3 years, say about, two to three months, this is just a guess though^_^

Something just tells me that November is month they'll put it out for the public use, if it comes this year. If I'm wrong I'll foot the bill for an extra "Clan" sub-forum how's that?

I didn't hear the devs/admins say themselves that they were deeply working on it until last year I beleive. But I've heard talk about it the whole time I've been on Gaia(almost 3 years).
Honestly I doubt the BS coming out this year. Maybe spring of next year. Of course, this is one of those instances where I'd LOVE to be wrong.

You may want to check Quixter's Journal. Last I heard (about a month or two ago) the Battle System is expected LATE November07-EarlyJuly08...
Showing they realy dont' know when this thing is coming up either. Maybe there should be a sticky for the release date... have people post their proof and get people to find a real date average... sweatdrop
