It is very much influenced by Japanese, as far as sounds go, but surprisingly also german. If you look closely, you can see borrowings from both, like "danaku" (which means "after" or "yet") comes directly from the german word "danach" (which means "after that" or "and then"). But yes, I love the sound of Japanese, so I stole a lot of stuff. However, grammar-wise I have no idea, I just chose what works well with the word order, VSO, for that, so I don't know what the grammar is taken from. 3nodding

Yeah it does. I had no idea ( until you told me of course! ) that it was an Elven language. I have several like that. With cute sounding words. mrgreen

Yeah, I like magick, so I made it an elven language. 3nodding (Although my elves are somewhat unorthodox sweatdrop )Uh, there's also a section on it in the conultures thread. You should go check it out, it's really amusing. (I think so anyway. whee )
I'm also role-playing in Niora, but no one seems to have shown up for a while. neutral

The Lisfirim could also be (very) loosely classified under Elves; they're immortal and stuff. surprised
But this is out of a curse put on them for completely screwing up Fate and potentially dooming humanity, and they're completely human psychologically. mad D

Anyways, they are the only ones that can use magic (again, see Concultures for how this works) and they tend to have pointy-ish ears, but then the rest of them is pointy too. I've got a very clear mental image of what they look like; pointy noses, pointy elbows, pointy chins and pointy ears. The people in general are very...sharp. I've only very rarely seen anyone who would be able to pass for a Lisfiri.
Anyways, I really like this language. surprised

XD They're not evil, they're just really messed up. mad D The fate thing was accidental and caused by them migrating south because they were sick of the climate.
