Ok, recently I've been angry, depressed, suicidal, homicidal, ridiculously happy, and thousands of other weird thoughts and feelings. Well, about a week ago, I was bored and while surfing around, I found out about Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Basically, it's every other mental disorder all rolled into one, more or less.

A few links:BPD 1
BPD 2

I read these, and I read the symptoms and I think I have BPD. I'm not sure, I don't have money to see a professional. Sorry if this is short but I'm tired at the moment, and I don't much feel like posting a whole essay.

Are you still in school? If you are, you should be able to talk to someone there for free. If you are feeling suicidal and homicidal, you definitely need to talk to someone.

The thing is though, is that it's not just a money issue. I want to talk to people about my problems, but I can't explain them. They ask what's wrong and don't understand that when I say nothing is wrong, nothing is wrong. I'm just angry or depressed for no reason.

If you can see someone for free through school, you've got nothing to lose but a little time. If they don't understand, you don't have to go back if you don't want to. I think it's probably worth a shot though.

Technically it is considered unethical to diagnose anyone under 18 with a personality disorder except under the most extreme circumstances (ignore if you are 18+). This is partly because psychologists see personalities in teens as still forming, and a lot of people who fit diagnostic critera when they are younger will not display the same symptoms when they are older. I don't mean to be critical; it's just what happens.

Self diagnosis in general is also bad, and not recommended. That goes for most things physical or mental.

As far as talking to someone, it's probably a good idea if you are angry/depressed. Consider that it is hard to talk to someone, but you can either risk talking, or not do anything at all (and pretty much be stuck where you are currently at). If you are angry or depressed for no reason, just say that you aren't sure why. A lot of people have trouble talking to someone, but psychologists are trained to talk to a variety of people, so you definitely wouldn't be the first person to have trouble explaining how you feel 3nodding
