OMG. I love Blue Flame. xD I love all four of them, actually. They're so... spewing with MEANING. I don't find it odd that you love it! *loves it also* Or, if you are, I am as well... Hahaha. I lose at finding pictures from the manga that I actually wanted to use. Seriously, that one is... quite sexy, imho. I totally agree, though I tend to fall for the Paternal!Roy thing every so often also... (Not because I think it would happen or because it's even plausible, but just because it's a nice thought to entertain). Anyway, I think the idea in that doujin actually has potential. (I mean, anything that engulfs as much angst has to have potential in FmA. xD) @ Letishia: ZOMG. Thank you~ heart I was so worried that you'd all be like, "Whoa, retarded unanswerable questions!" And anyway, chess metaphor wins! xD (Maybe it belongs in the symbolism thread...)

Well, if I wasn't an Ed or Al fangirl, then I'd be a Roy fangirl. So, yes. : D

I like the parental-figure idea; it's obvious that he cares for the brothers. In more ways than not, I think that he sees them and cares for them like his other adult comrades. But in a way, Ed and Al can be portrayed as playing the role of Roy's own children, considering how he has watched them grow and has helped them along the way. He also teases them like a father and friend would, and scolds them when they do things that could place them in potential danger without him knowing, like in that one episode in the anime. Of course, I could list some other instances as well.
But then again, I may just be reading too much into things. whee
-Useless in the rain?
Unless he's handy when it comes to ranged or hand-to-hand combat, yes.
-Fuhrer material?
Oh, most definately! But there's still some room that his character needs to grow into until he can confidently in his own eyes, the eyes of the other characters, and in the eyes of the audience claim the title of Fuhrer.
-Spectacular user of chess metaphor?
I don't know how to play chess and have never played it, so I wouldn't know. surprised I thought it was clever, though.

I haven't really studied Roy's character yet, so I probably can't get too in-depth with this one. I will say that he is very loyal to his comrades and resolute in his goals.

I like his appearance in the anime, but his character is more detailed in the manga, and more dark, in a way. I like them both. D:

Parental, I think. xd Roy would make a cool parent, and I think he'd make a nice parent figure for Ed and Al (don't shot me RoyEd fans! gonk ) if Ed wasn't so stubborn and Roy would let his softer side show.

To some extent. xd I think he could do some damage with a machine gun, or in Ed's case, he could do some serious damage with his teasing.
Fuhrer material?
I think he'd make a great Fuhrur. Roy is loyal and willing to put other's happiness in front of his own. I really hope Roy becomes president in the manga.
