Soo.. I have this anime club at my school that I started this year (im in middle school 8th grade)
anyway Today was the last day and all so we had a party and at the end we had everyone sit down in a circle and talk about what they liked, and what not and we gave them candy..
When It was my turn I asked..
"So At the beginning of the year.. how many people did NOT like Yaoi"
3/4 of everyone's hands go up.
and I asked again..
"Ok.. How many people like it now?"
EVERYONE except one girl and two of the five guys that were there raised their hands.. there is 23-25 (cant keep count anymore) People in the club
Yes thats right.. Im a genius and got a bunch of little middle schoolers into yaoi, on accident.. *Shifty eyes* I swear! Including three guys and one that wont admit it.
Sadly Im off to High School next year.. Have to leave them all! good news is Im starting an anime club there too..
* also two of the guys that like yaoi were doing a Naruto Yaoi Broadcast today.. and I died. It was something about Sasuke and Gaara went into a closet and came out sweating and naked.. and there was sand everywhere.. xd

whee my principle wouldnt let us start one in my middle school, and im leaving it this year too. instead i started a writing club and we made a magazine, or atleast the preview because of lack of time, of poems and short stories n stuff that we wrote. but NEXT YEAR im defnitley joing the anime club. good job on making more yaoi fans!!

Lol that's awesome. Go you. We don't have an anime club at our high school, although I'm sure that if someone stepped up to create one we'd get tons of people in it.

I lent Gravitation to a guy in a club I was in, and he came back the next day something like this:
"Those were guys."
"Yeah?"--Me
"Gay guys."
"Well, yeah."
"Do you have any more?"

I think most of the girls in our club are into yaoi in some way, shape, or form, but the guys...almost all of them are in middle school. (My school is Middle/High School as is our Anime Club.) I'm not that twisted to try turn 11 and 12 year old boys into yaoi fanboys. Besides, I might wind up scaring them off, and we have a small enough club as it is, so.....that wouldn't be good.

There's an anime club at my university but they only meet up at 6pm on mondays but I don't go to uni on mondays. And I don't have the time to drive the 30 minute trip there every week just to go to it. sad

King_Cicero_IV That's like the one at my university only the club is held at a different campus and it isn't worth the trip. Besides, if there was one at my school I probably wouldn't go to it. Middle school is one thing but all the anime fans I have met in college so far were completely over-obsessed otaku people who were really annoying. I mean, it's no big secret that a lot of us here on gaia don't have lives. But this was just way too much. I felt sorry for those people. And again, I'm talking about a very small number of people, not everyone. So yeah, I'm not that much of an over-generalizing b***h. sweatdrop
I think I'll post in colors from now on...and the color I post in shall match my avi...

Aww! High school anime clubs aren't bad at all!
Summer of '08, my anime club is going to Japan. D: I'll be graduated by then, but our sponsor says I can still go. heart
Another thing-- high school anime clubs are just cooler. XD 'Cos we're all high school and mature and whatall, we can watch the 'uncensored' ( rolleyes ) anime and go on field trips and stuff. WE WENT TO KATSUCON. How many of y'all can say you went to Katsucon with you Oceanography teacher?

Like this one time when my friends and I were standing in line to get Vic Mignogna's autograph and this girl who was sort of half cosplaying as Naruto and half as Tenten came up to us and was like "ZOMG!!11! YOU HAVE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST SHIRTS!!!1 CAN I HUG YOU??!!" and then she stood next to us talking... a lot. XD Ok, I must admit that I don't really have a life either but she was kind of scary. sweatdrop

Good job with the club! I used to be in the anime club at school, and then they really didn't do much, so I stopped going.
