All fans are welcome to discuss whatever they wish here, as long as it has to do with the SuiKa pairing.
If you are not a fan, why even bother posting? You can if you want to, but watch what you say. Iia and me will be watching you guys like a pair of hawks.. >3

Suigetsu (水月, Suigetsu?) is a former experiment subject of Orochimaru and first member to be recruited into Sasuke's Team Snake. He was being held on one of Orochimaru's laboratories inside a tank. He is released by Sasuke shortly after he defeats Orochimaru. Suigetsu's teeth are shark-like, much like Kisame Hoshigaki's. Suigetsu's name means "water moon", a reference to something that can be seen but not grasped, as the moon reflected in water is.
Suigetsu is able to reduce himself to liquid form and to return to bodily form at will, though it is unknown if this is the result of Orochimaru's experiments or an ability he already had. This ability also allows him to change his body shape, giving him the ability to increase the size of his limbs if necessary. It also makes striking him somewhat difficult: since he is made of liquid, any sufficiently powerful strike will go right through Suigetsu's watery form. He is arguably quite powerful or at least very confident in his abilities, since he has threatened Sasuke on more than one occasion. Suigetsu is also the first ninja seen carrying water bottles on his outfit. Given his somewhat frequent desire to consume water, Suigetsu may require regular hydration to sustain his watery form.
Suigetsu has Sasuke take him to Zabuza Momochi's grave in the Land of Waves after being released, wanting to take possession of the latter's zanbatō. Having trained with the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, which Zabuza once belonged to, Suigetsu can wield the weapon with relative ease, but traveling longer distances with the sword strapped onto his back tires him out rather quickly.
He seems to have some enmity for Jugo and Karin, though it isn't clear why. During the trip meant for recruiting Karin, Sasuke asks him to free all the prisoners previously kept under Karin's guard. As a condition of their release, he has them tell those they meet that Sasuke has killed Orochimaru and intends to bring peace to the world. As Sasuke is never seen mentioning this to Suigetsu, it remains unclear if this is Sasuke's actual goal or merely manipulation on Suigetsu's part. When Karin later asks what Suigetsu hopes to get out of his alliance with Sasuke, Suigetsu replies that he wants to collect Kisame's sword, as he was trained under the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Karin assumes Suigetsu's goal is merely to collect all the swords.--- K A R I N

Karin (香燐, Karin?) is a former subordinate of Orochimaru who assisted him in his experimentations and was left in charge of one of his bases while he was away; and was also the only one loyal to Orochimaru to remain even though his current status was questionable. She has an odd hairstyle; it is unkempt and short on one side, but long and neatly combed on the other. Karin will at times appear tough and in control and other times (specifically alone with Sasuke) she is flirtatious.
Sasuke Uchiha recruits her as a member of Team Snake. While Sasuke admits she may be troublesome, he also notes that her special abilities make her useful. This ability seems to allow her to track the chakra of specific individuals, though how it works is unclear. She also seems to have a liking for Sasuke, implying to Sasuke that a team consisting of the two of them would be much better than one with Suigetsu or Jugo. Suigetsu noted that something once happened between her and Sasuke though what this means remains unclear, since she punches Suigetsu before he can finish his sentence.
Karin's name means 'incense phosphorus' and is also a homonym for the fruit 'quince'.[Information taken from Wikipedia.]

Chapter 347: Suigetsu Appears.. !
Suigetsu and Karin did not actually meet in this chapter, but Suigetsu does make one comment about her..
Suigetsu: Me first.. then the others?
Sasuke: .. Two others.. I'll take Juugo from the Northern Hideout and Karin from the Southern Hideout.
Suigetsu: Really?
Sasuke: What?
Suigetsu: Nothing.. just don't like.. them. Just thought.. we won't be able to.. get along. Heh..
Suigetsu states here that he doesn't think he won't be able to get along with Karin and Juugo, but.. as we find out later, when Juugo is not on one of his killing rampages, Suigetsu gets along just fine with him..
Chapter 348: The Next Person!
Suigetsu lets Sasuke know just how he feels about Karin.
Suigetsu: .. But.. then I think there's no reason to choose Karin. She, unlike me, is Orochimaru's subordinate. She's messed around with my body before.. And first off, I can't stand her attitude.
Sasuke: ... It's true that there's a lot of other strong shinobi that would be easier to handle, but she has a special power that no one else has.
Suigetsu: Well.. I have to admit that's true.
Sasuke and Suigetsu then come face-to-face with the person they came after..
Karin: Sasuke.. if you're here by yourself, that rumor must be true.
Suigetsu: That's cold.. I'm here, too.
So after being ignored, Suigetsu insists Karin show them to a room. He's exhausted.
Later, after Suigetsu goes to free the prisoners like Sasuke told him to, Karin locks Sasuke in the room with her, and lets him know what she thinks of Suigetsu.
Karin: Hey.. why don't we make it just the two of us? We don't need Suigetsu.. that thing..
[In some translations, Suigetsu calls Karin a 'b***h' for locking him out. In others he simply calls her a 'girl' or a 'woman.']
Suigetsu destroys the door.
Suigetsu: Come on. Let's go, Sasuke. It seems like Karin won't come.
Sasuke: No.. she says she'll come with us.
Karin: Wh.. Who said I'll go?! I'm jus.. just heading.. to the same direction.. ! Umm.. !
Sasuke: ?
Suigetsu: Oh? That's convenient then. Let's go partway together.
Karin: Just partway!
Suigetsu: Then.. next is Juugo, right?
Karin: What.. did you say Juugo?! You're going to include that guy in the team?
Suigetsu: You're only with us until partway. It doesn't concern you, does it?
Karin: N.. No! It doesn't concern me! So what! Are you picking a fight?!
Chapter 349: The Place The Group Is Heading Is.. !?
LOTS of SuiKa interaction in this chapter; they're practically the only ones talking.
The two actually act civil toward each other.. until Suigetsu decides to take a few breaks.
Suigetsu: Hey.. aren't you tired? Why don't we rest a little?
Karin: You're pathetic! We still have a long way to go until we reach the North Hideout!
Suigetsu: Where we're headed should be different than yours. No need to worry about me. Just leave.
Karin: I just remembered that I had business at the North hideout! So I'm going there first!
Suigetsu: Tch..
Insert extremely long Suigetsu and Karin conversation here.. 8D
And then another break.
Suigetsu: Hey.. why don't we rest a little?
Karin: Suigetsu, you! All you do is rest. We're already at the hideout! Is it that sword? That sword's heavy, isn't it!? Just leave it!
Chapter 350: The Shocking News.. !
Sasuke, Suigetsu, and Karin enter the hideout.
Sasuke: Karin, which way. Lead us.
Karin: Sasuke! What are you doing taking the lead since earlier.
Suigetsu: Can you just hurry up and find out? .. That's your power that you're always going on about, right?
Karin: ... That way.
Suigetsu: Tss..
And Suigetsu goes the wrong way.
Karin: This way's the real way. Let's go, Sasuke!
Sasuke: Why did you lie? Suigetsu's going the opposite..
Karin: Suigetsu's so annoying. I don't like him. Let's go!
[Again, translations differ when Suigetsu discovers what has happened. He either calls Karin a 'b***h,' or a 'woman.']
Chapter 351: A Conversation With A Man!
Suigetsu manages to find his way back to the group, and after blocking an attack from Juugo, he gives Karin a little threat.
Suigetsu: Sasuke, I want to take this guy. And Karin, you'll get it later..
Karin: Tch..
Suigetsu and Juugo fight.
Karin's thoughts?
Karin: Good! Both of them can die!
Toward the end of the chapter, Suigetsu and Karin have another nice civil moment as she reminds him of what she said back in 349.
Chapter 352: The Motive.. !
Hm. Suigetsu and Karin have a nice little.. moment in this chapter..
Sasuke: My motive is to kill Uchiha Itachi, of the "Akatsuki." To that end, I want your power.
Suigetsu: I figured as much..
Sasuke: However.. Karin.. You already said that you had other plans.. So, what are you going to do?
Karin: Y.. Yes. I was thinking about it and I'm not really in a rush.
Suigetsu: Karin.. be honest. Don't you just want to be at Sasuke's side?
Karin: T.. T-That's my reason? Who would ever say such a thing!? Huh!?
Suigetsu: See? Bullseye. Your voice is cracking. Well, well.. I really do know.. In the past, with Sasuke, you..
Karin: ! [She punches him before he can finish.] Tss!
Sasuke: Suigetsu, stop agitating her.. I do believe I said you'll have to start working together, didn't I?
Suigetsu: ... Yeah, yeah. I got it. My bad, Karin. .. Anyway.. I guess I'll stick around with you, Sasuke, from here onwards. One of the Hidden Mist Village's Seven Swordsmen.. His name is Hoshigaki Kisame, and he's partnered with Itachi. It's my goal to take his sword, "Samehada" for myself!
Karin: Someone's compensating by collecting swords..
Suigetsu: ...
Sasuke: Suigetsu..
Suigetsu: Yeah, yeah.. I know.

Why do you like/support SuiKa? Remedi Why Iia Thinks That SuiKa is the Best Thing Since SasuSaku and NaruHina
The main reason why I love them together so much is because of the obvious fact that they hate each other's guts. They pick at each other constantly, despite Sasuke's wish for everyone to cooperate. (And this surprises me, because both Suigetsu and Karin put Sasuke on a pedastal.) They obviously know each other from way back when, since they know a lot about each other, and they know exactly what to say to piss each other off. Though I'm not saying they ARE ex's, they certainly give of an ex vibe, considering how Suigetsu picks at Karin's interest to Sasuke, and Karin's lack of effort to resist hitting Suigetsu. Ex or not, I tend to think that they were close at SOME point, or else they wouldn't be constantly at each other's throats, or so comfortable at making death threats, and slapping the other.
There's not much to go by yet, but I just see SO MUCH potential with SuiKa. Hopefully Kishi gives us lots to love with these two. They HATE each other; perfect base for growing development.

They're obviously the comedic pair of Team Hebi, and normally I don't like things that are for comedic purposes only -- i.e. Sakura's constant turning down Naruto's dates -- but I just love SuiKa. Something about them just catches my attention and keeps me interested.
SuiKa arguments are currently the main reason I eagerly await the next manga chapter. Seeing Sasuke has moved down to being my second reason. I swear -- I'm obsessed. But I can't help it. SuiKa is.. just.. love. <3 Or hate.. hate-love. Love-hate.
Also, the fact that I love both Suigetsu and Karin is another reason I'm such a huge fan of the pairing. I like to pair my favorite characters together.
And my third reason is the mystery behind this couple. Something obviously happened between them in the past.. I doubt Kishi will put any focus on what that something was, but it's still fun to imagine~
Ah. Suigetsu x Karin. <3 Feel the hate~ rachaella22 I personally like the pairing. It kinda reminds me of Zutara from Avatar with the whole love/hate thing. I like the small amount of interaction they have, and think they could have a very interesting and humurous relationship in the future. YazmishaNazo Well, I love both characters, they're just so fun. It always makes me smile when Karin always pays so much attention to Suigetsu by scolding him... And the whole Suika thing was PLANNED, I tell you! Kishimoto knew that we'd twist it to mean watermelon D< *didn't make sense but mmkay* Anyway, I also love quarrelling couples ( ) and angsty couples, so the two together really appealed to me, and I cant wait til the SuigetsuxKarin guild comes out =3 Even though it'll take a while, as Remedi said on her profile page, I think <<; But the Love/Hate thing is something that I could really go for.

@15epitess-chan15: Bah. It's your decision, but SuiKa needs all the fan-art it can get, and I'm sure your art's not that bad. Can't be any worse than mine, because that's just bloody impossible. 8D
