Quote:
Donald Sutherland(Movie) or Alan Alda(Tv) As Hawkeye?
Donald Sutherland by a margin. I like both, but Sutherland was more of a wiseass, which made him funnier.
Quote:
Elliot Gould (Movie) or Wayne Rogers (Tv) As Trapper John?
Wayne Rogers.
Wayne Rogers was more likeable. When Eliot Gould as Trapper got in a nurse's face and angrily snapped orders at her (especially when he demanded she make him something to eat) I instantly hated him.
Quote:
Sally Kellerman (Movie) or Lorreta Swit (Tv) As Hot Lips?
Switt, later on.
In the first few seasons, Switt was just playing up Kellerman's hypersexual sexpot-ness, and it just didn't look good. Kellerman did it better.
Later on, when Loretta Switt gave Margaret Houlihan a spine and a personality, I liked her better as Margaret.
Quote:
Robert Duvall(Movie) or Larry Linville (Tv) As Ferret Face?
Linville, no contest.
Larry Linville delivered laughs by the U-Haul load as Frank. He brought more vigor to the character than Robert Duvall.
Quote:
Roger Bowen(Movie) or McLean Stevenson(Tv) As Henry Blake?
Tie.
They both were pretty much copies of each other, and they both played the archtypical character superbly.
Quote:
Rene Auberjonois(Movie) or William Christopher(Tv) or George Morgan (Pilot) As Father Mulcahy?
William Christopher, without a doubt.
He was lovable, amiable, charming, had a killer personality, and he was a boxer, which is awesome.
Quote:
Gary burghoff(movie) or Gary Burghoff(Tv) As Radar?
Neither. Or, both. I haven't decided.
