Why is it that when warm weather rolls around black folk aways take to:
washing their car. bbqing. SITTING ON THE PORCH, EVEN BRINGING LAWN CHAIRS OUT FROM THE BACKYARD SO THEIR FRIENDS CAN SIT THERE TOO. and playing old-folk music like "Before I let go" or "Through the fire" question
my goodness.
but I love it. cool

...Not just black people do those things when the weather gets nice. :/ I've seen people of all nationalities doing those things on the first warm, sunny day and throughout the summer. I've also seen gardening, mowing, and home improvements being made. 3nodding

Haha that's common order of events in my area. Folks start to bbq around mid-mornin! Then you got the little kids and the teens poppin off firecrackers, the ice cream man comin around 24-7....and my favorite....loud music at night. I used to get really annoyed, but now I just get up and dance. rofl I think these summers to come are gonna be even more fun tho...I got a man this season and we're both total fools. Watergun fights, evenings at the lakefront...awwww yeah!!! xd

Fooly Cooly owns my soul true but you always see a ton of black families at the beach and amusment parks i know this sounds really stupid, but for the longest time i didn't know black people went to the beach. i thought it was just a white person thing. i live about an hour from the coast, but my family (or any other black families i knew) never talked about going to the beach. i rarely go now, but when i do the only POC's i see are latinos. confused

I know several black folks who wouldn't be caught dead on the beach, but I also know tons who, like me, go there often. 3nodding

I don't get the loud music were I live. I live in the middle of nowhere so there's just an assortment of country people. The only loud music comes from a few 20-something white guys confused
My dad does like to bb-q tho 3nodding
