I heart the vibes but my director never puts me on them.. crying I always end up with the xylophone.

i get thrown on timpani a lot. good thing i like it. otherwise id get thrown on snare and im not good at it burning_eyes

I loooove the marimba. Xylo and vibes are cool too though.

I like the marimba because it sounds really nice, but then again I like the xylo because is louder and people can hear it more at concerts. I love'em both. I always end up on the xylo though.

i like both the marumba and vibes...i play marumba and i LOVE the lower end of it....a rich and dark sound it has. vibes has hat quality thats can be mysterious...and i like that ^^.

really like the marimba but since im one of the younger in our line i always end up with what ever part i left. i don't get that. confused

MARIMBA PWNS ALL. The marimba is so beautiful I just love it. I really CAN'T STAND PLAYING vibes, but I like their sound. BUT MARIMBA MAN! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG amazing!. But a large part of the sound a marimba makes is from the mallets...

Vibraphone: I found out ours had a ******** electric switch and I keep on coming back to it just so I can hear it. xDDD When you place a scale on it, it sounds like a dream sequence because of the woop woop woop.

Looks like i have to be the odd one out with Chimes and all theire POWER they may have the smallest range but when you play them especialy during a real powerful part it just seems to add something...and shoot even in the soft parts they can add that little hint of delecacy.... hated moveing those monsters though....

I like the chimes too cause they sound cool but I dont really like the bells. And I have never played a vibraphone our school doesnt have one xp
