Dear readers,
First of all...I AM SOO SOOO SOOO SORRY!!
crying I DIDN'T MEAN TO FORGET!! HONEST~~ FIRST THERE WAS THE HOMEWORK, THEN THE TESTS, THEN THE RETESTS
gonk AND THE TEACHERS, AND THE SPEACHES AND THE LACK OF SLEEP, AND THE CATCH UP SLEEP AND~~
*cough* basically, go men na sai! scusa! traurig! and sorry! The above are just some of the reasons why i'm posting late, anyway...down to buisness.
This month, the most important thing to report on is Easter!!! *heart* Gaians scurried about the site with their little virtual easter baskets while collecting eggs, to trade in for....more eggs, which when opened contained various sized chickies. *so soft and fluuuuufy~~* I know i got mine! =3 While in the real world easter was celebrated with gifts and special meals with the family, big or small. This year, i found out about a tradition carried out in a friend's family. The traditions goes that you paint some hard boiled eggs, and at easter each family member selects one and they play a cracking game with the eggs. the eggs that were the least cracked won (i found that out LATER of course), finally, one egg was painted red and placed in a cup to be kept somewhere in the house, bringing the family good luck all year. this is a slavic tradition (i think, since their family is Bulgarian)
Continuing on, on April 25th Australia and New Zealanders celebrated ANZAC day, a day that honours and commemorates the sacrifice the Australian and New Zealand soldiers made in Gallipoli in WW1. For those that don't know, ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps. As a part of WW1, the Gallipoli campaign was launched by the British in hopes of a naval attack on the Dardanelles to capture Constantinople, to get Turkey to surrender. The british would then be able to form an eastern front next to russia and surround their enemy. However, the Gallipoli Campaign was a complete failure, with mass confusion and deaths. The only successful thing about it was the successful evacuation of all troops from Gallipoli, without the loss of a single mans life. The Anzacs are remembered becuse even though they could see that they were not going to come out of the battle alive, they fought on without ever running away or looking back. It is this bravery and resilience that we honour every year. " Lest we forget"

The worst for last, as they dont say....school began again for us here in Aus. And these past 2 weeks have been a killer for me
....need....sleeeeep.... I will be a zombie before the next holiday arrives. Tash is back with her soymilk and violent ways....and the Jellyfish are anticipating the RP movement ( maybe some new rps?
biggrin ) as well as the fabled guild plot!! dun dun dun...
