Okay, spelling? Did I mess it up again?
Anyways! I was checking out another guild and someone there suggested a subforum be deticated to recipies. I thought that was a bit much, but a THREAD deticated to recipies would be FANTABULOUS! whee
Post a recipie, try a recipie, tell us how it turns out or take a picture!!! Perhaps it's not a recipie, but a creative way to cook something normal : post that, too!! Please post only what you know to be good or make a note that you haven't tried the recipie yet.
Happy eatting!

INGREDIENTS:
2 tablespoons butter 2 cloves garlic, finely minced dash pepper dash salt pinch dried dillweed or parsley (I used parsley) dash paprika 4 tilapia fillets
PERPARATION:
In saucepan, combine butter, garlic, pepper, salt, dillweed, and paprika. Heat over low heat until butter is melted and starts simmering. Remove from heat. Brush a little of the butter mixture in the bottom of a shallow baking dish (line the baking dish with foil if desired) then place tilapia fillets on the buttered area. Brush top of each tilapia fillet with the seasoned butter mixture. Bake at 350degrees for 12-15 minutes, until tilapia flakes easily with a fork.
Serves 2.
(For those who have never heard of tilapia before, it's a mild fish. I know I had never heard of it before this 2006, so I wouldn't be surprised if at least one person is like "WTF?")

Mini Pies!!!
Okay, so last weekend I was making a pumpkin pie and we had extra filling because we used a smaller pie tin than we usually do. So I made some extra pie crust :
1 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup oil 3 tablespoons milk 1 and 1/3 cup sifted flour
And I put the extra into this small version of a cupcake pan! It turned out awesomely - there were all these little mini-pies! I *think* I had them in for about 30 minutes on 375 degrees - if anyone's ever made a pumpkin pie you know it goes in on 425 degrees first for 15 min (there abouts), so mine went in about 30 minutes into baking the large on - about half the time to cook since they were so small (and it wasn't quite a large pan). They were cooked through, though! ^_^
I'll post a picture soon. wink

I only know how to clean, to an extent, cause its mostly.. common sense, i guess.. but i really want to learn how to sew, because thats a type of art in its own. :]

I only know how to clean, to an extent, cause its mostly.. common sense, i guess.. but i really want to learn how to sew, because thats a type of art in its own. :] It's easy to learn! Step One : Find someone who knows what they are doing - You are going to need some help unless you want to buy fancy a** books and stuff. They can supervise you, give you advice, ect. Step Two : Practice! - I took a sewing class in highschool - we practiced different stitches and whatnot. I made a wallet, 2 stuffed animals, and tried some cool stuff. If you can't find a class, just ask your someone who knows waht they are doing for "assignments". Other than that, I don't have much experience, but I tend to do well with crafts in general. Example : I went from sewing a stuffed animal, 5 years later with no practice inbetween sewed 2 costumes for a video shoot. Step Fourty-Six: Try a harder project -Even if you fail, you're more likely to learn something if you try a hard project after all your practice. (I don't like 3 steps. >_<) As for cooking. Follow instructions and pay attention. The recipie says cook something at a certain degree for a certain amount of time. DO IT. Do not question the recipie! Remeber, though, you can always cook something longer, but you can never un-cook it. Check your food often especially if you are using a different stove/oven than you are used to. (The oven at my college is hotter than it says it is and burns my food. 15 minutes translates to 5 minutes.

Such wise 46 pieces of adive. Unfortunantly, there isn't anyone to teach me to sew. But, I plan to take a clothing textile and design class next year, which should teach me. but my school has a habit of the course offering booklet saying one thing about a class, and then in the actual class... you do none of it. rofl i've experienced that with like 4-5 different classes. but i dont want to wait a year!
i think i would try or practice cooking if i was like... allowed to. my mom is so crazy, she rarely ever lets me use the kitchen or oven. its a miracle if she lets me make damn cupcakes!
