Allow me to rant here:

I draw what I love, what I find attractive and what I enjoy drawing. It's not up to a guild of elitist strangers as to what and how much of that I draw. Drawing contortion isn't hurting anyone. It's something I love. Something I find immensely attractive. In three words: It's my fetish. So to speak, of course.
I find it incredible taht people can bend like that. I find it aesthetically pleasing. Thought provoking.
I came here to ask you to crit the general quality of the work. NOT the content. My lines are too thin? Fine. I can't forshorten limbs properly? Fine. The chest is too low? Fine.
I did NOt come here to be told to STOP drawing what i enoy. I DO actually draw other things aside from contortion but I can generally get friends to crit that for me. I don't feel the need to come to you.

I've forewarded the picture to Jahi instead as I'm well aware that she IS willing to crit that for me, red-line it, and help me out. She and I share similar interests so I know that she wont tell me not to 'draw those rediculous poses'.

Hard-assed elitist pricks who are too boxed up in their realism-hum-drum-lol i r gud drawr world to actually take time to look at something that maybe contains something DIFFERENT to what they're used to. I saw the picture before you took it down and was going to attempt a critique, but it's kind of hard without the image there now.

It's really difficult to convey what you're attempting to draw without a good understanding of human anatomy and form first. Since the only work I've seen you do involves people in weird poses and since most of us seem to have trouble getting what's going on, then the problem isn't the poses you draw. It's that you don't have a good enough knowledge of what you're drawing to be able to pull them off.
I imagine even people who have a lot of experience drawing the human figure might have some trouble getting poses like that to look correct, and I honestly don't think that someone at your level of skill could do it. So I'm going to reiterate what I think everyone else was trying to say: Get the basics down before you do anything that complicated.

actually i wasn't being serious when i asked what was wrong with you, and i get that you came here to ask us to help you by critiquing any anatomy flaws. and actually i'm not that "oh no you need to learn how to stop drawing fetishes etc" about it since you're experimenting (although, you still should try learning actual anatomy since it'd make you a way better artist [duh] and you'd be able to create your own wacko poses instead of having to use references all the time. that'd be extremely commendable.) but everyone else seems kinda on the opponency so that is so when war, make peace! (some line i did for my peter pan play.)

I do it all completely from my head.

Unlike teh rest of you, she actually had teh balls to step up and apologize despite not even having anything to do with this arguement.

I do't need teh fags at the moment. I have people who not only have similar tastes as me, but are willing to give me actual critique on not JUST anatomy/the fact that I have a tendancy to draw contortion often.

And as a final note: Why do I get the feeling that you guys WOULDN'T say such things to Jahi?

And as a final note, know the definitions of words used.
