Hey you know, many of us asians, actually can't speak our own languages. Yeah it's embarrassing, since your family is gossiping over how you can't speak it. And...since it's being said so much....you understand when someone is talking about you. Yes, many of us can speak our other language, but I'm just curious, so how many of you guys can't speak your other language?

[ 聖ルヂーと言う: ] Not only can I not speak Mandarin or Hindi, but I know more Japanese than both of the two languages put together, and I'm not even Japanese.

I can understand what they are saying. But when they talk to me, I reply in English. And they laugh at me. I dont know what the joke is... Is it because I talk to them in English?

AznBabygirl101 I can understand what they are saying. But when they talk to me, I reply in English. And they laugh at me. I dont know what the joke is... Is it because I talk to them in English? Same. Only they don't really laugh at me... they just wonder if I really understood them. o_o;

I barely know any of my native tongue (Korean), just barely enough to say "hello" and that's about it. Sadly, I think I know Japanese better than Korean but I'm working on it.

Lived with my grandma who was from China so learned to speak it with my whole family... if I try clues and still can't get it, I ask or say it in English. Then I suck at Spanish... and Mandarin... (I'm Cantonese Chinese)
