New Line Cinema recently asked us to promote their new movie “The Last Mimzy” on Gaia. We checked out the trailer and thought it looked pretty cool, so starting next week we will be putting some info around the site to help spread the word about the movie. There will be a special Last Mimzy Quest available (and a free exclusive item!) for those who are interested.

In the future there might be a few more partnerships with film or anime studios, but we'll be careful to choose cool stuff that you might like.

Ok let me point a few things out wrong with this. Gaia is a place to get away from comertialisim and all that bull s**t. The items on gaia all used to be mostly origional and once all origional. Yeah we had ads in the sidebars but as a .com site this was expected. Now it's great that a company like new line cinema believes we are strong enough to be a good medium to advertise. However the problem is that gaia is not a place for shout outs to movies. We would not mind more sidebar ads. That's how these sites work. Now decideing to make movie based items is simply selling out. Lanzer what have you done to us? Makeing quests to promote a company and makeing items for them as well. No matter if you think we may like it or not with future items selling out is still selling out. Why can gaia not stay a seperate entity from corperations?

Now in light of hearing of this sellout I no longer care how good the last mimsy is. I never will see it as it is a sign of when lanzer sold his soul to the corprate world. I will never see anything you promote lanzer. I also will not make another donaation to gaia until this stops if it means I never donate again so be it. Personally I will refuse to support you selling your soul to corperate america.

I ask you, what the hell were you thinking? Stop dragging us into corperate hell. I will never suport a corperate run gaia.
