I only think Sapphire was better because Groudon could only learn some moves that worked well together like solarbeam with his ability, but it isn't the first one to be able to learn a grass move (it being a ground type).
Kyogre was cool because it is a water type and I was shocked to believe that it could learn Thunder and have it be a 100% hit chance with its ability! That is why sapphire is better...

i don't mean to be odd but my sapphire game doesn't look like that one and i think the picture of that one is fake...hmm..
Yes it looks odd...maybe it's a fake or of another country
o say emerald only because you can get both kyogre, groudon, and rayquaza is the mascot, as it should be, because although kyogre learns water spout, i like dragons best but the lack of roselia pissed me off... ninja
