i do want to mention that there is an offbranch of taijutsu called kenjutsu, or the art of weapon fighting. (not to be confused with kinjutsu)

Actually kenjutsu is the use of the katana and katana variations. The Naruto version might be different though if they have ever mentioned it.

They havent actually mentioned it but they have made insinuations sutch as Ten Ten the Kenjutsu master.
