Well, I'm a subscriber to several different manga anthologies at the moment, and everytime I pick an issue up, I feel myself being drawn into different series. I decided to make this thread in dedication to the certain titles that I can't even hope to rip my eyes away from excluding Vampire Knight.
Hm, well, right now, there's one series that I'm actually finding more interesting than I'd have thought it to be. Nana has really caught my eye since I subscribed to Shojo Beat. I really like the art, but I think what really catches my eye is the fandom-ness of it all. You don't know who Nana [Hachi] is going to end up with since, for the moment, she's stuck between Nobu and Takumi. It's really exciting, but it also possesses a certain element that I've never come in contact with in an actual series before. It's the entire "sex thing," as I'd call it. Really, I've not read one manga besides Nana where people have sex. It's nothing explicit. Let me be struck by lightning if I actually read something raunchy. But, I can actually tell how the intimacy affects the very core of the story itself! It's amazing, and the series continues to have me at the edge of my seat!
Another series that I've gone head-over-heels for is Crimson Hero. My God, if that series doesn't completely charge you and make you want to run out and play some volleyball, I don't know what will. Not just that, but there's such a complex love triangle at this point, and I'm stuck trying to figure out how it'll end up. Yushin is just such a stupid-a** sometimes, but he really is a loving guy. I just hope he doesn't get together with his ex again even though the probability of something like that happening if he doesn't get with Nobara is in that option's favor. Then, I was thinking that if Nobara did get with Yushin, then Haibuki could get with his ex since she didn't actually cheat on him and she still really, really likes him. Hrmm, I dunno. It's all very fun to think about, and I get so excited when I read it!
Oh, and we can't forget Shinshi Doumei Cross. Some know it as The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, I believe. Well, I'm on chapter 17 at this point. It's so amazing with its artwork, and I'm constantly falling over myself when I think about the plot itself and how there's a second Togu! I probably won't read the licensed version of it because of how they change the term "Koutei" to "Emperor" in that version, and I tend to get stuck on little details like that, but I'm sure that reading the scans will be just as much fun! I hope I can finish the series completely online without having to wait for new volumes every so often.
Now for one of my favorite series of all time: Fruits Basket. Really, it just blows my socks off. There's no way to describe just how freaking awesome this title is. You can ask anyone who's read it, and they'll all tell you the same thing. It's just a great series! That's all there is to it! Recently, I've been feeling rather tempted to simply read it online since it'd be so much better than having to suffer for months on end waiting for the next volume. There's no way for me to keep my sanity like that! I've just...I've just got to get more Fruits Basket! I highly recommend it for those who enjoy romance and light and cheerful comedy as well as very complex characters who are each fighting their own battles and suffer in their own ways. Everyone has their own individual story with so much pain it makes you want to simply hug your book...or monitor depending on reading prefrence. I love it, and I demand that everyone in this guild at least reads the first volume. Not really, but it'd be kinda nice. ^^;
There's even another series that I've just started reading as of yesterday! It's a Shojo Beat title, so I think most of the people should be at least slightly familiar with it. It's called Aishiteruze Baby**. I've read the first volume already, and I can't get it out of my mind for some reason. I'm slightly obsessed, I guess you could say. Kippei is really funny, especially when he's taking care of Yuzuyu and everyone in school thinks he knocked some girl up. xD But, what I really love are the little fluffy moments when he's bonding with Yuzuyu and stuff. He's so clueless as to what he should be doing, and yet he has paternal instincts...Actually, they're more maternal than anything else, I think. I really want to keep reading it~!
So, without telling me any ending details, what are your opinions on these series?

Yup! I get Shojo Beat and Shounen Jump! I also recently subscribed to New Type. xD; I'm kind of a manga/anime junky if you couldn't tell. ^^;;

I've heard of Aishitsuru Baby, Crimson Hero, and Nana... But I've never gotten around to reading them.
Fruits Basket, on the other hand, I ADORE!!! That has to be my favorite manga of all time! I MUST read all of them.. Even though they've only gotten up to volume 14 or 15 in the US mangas....

Yeah, you'd never find it in stores unless they had a section that sold raw manga. xD It's not released in the US, and it won't be for some time. Shojo Beat has it licensed now, though, so it's a pain to find downloads anymore. I'm not waiting for it to catch up, though. xD -is already on volume 5- xD
Isn't Shigure's editor named Mine or something? xD

Yeah, if you look to the links page, Aicoalition's link also hosts Furuba, so you can get way ahead that way. I read volume 16 there because I couldn't wait for it to come out. xD I'll probably do that the entire series, buying the books one by one as they come out in the US. lolxD.

Mmn, Shinkuro won't be released for a while, and the scans are more useful, in my opinion. Not only can you get way further, but the quality is amazing and some pictures are colored. And, if we ever find the time, they're nice graphics resources. Heehee.

Like I said, it could be a total load of B.S., but there is a backstory to the female Akito dressing male. It's that her father stated that it was disgraceful for the head of the family to be female, so she decided to switch her attire.
