this is an anthology of poetry that i am in the process of getting published, so i won't post too many of the portraits, but i can give you the rhyme scheme. every poem is composed of 6 lines with the first three consisting of 14 syllables, and the last three alternating between three lines of 11 sylables or 16 syllables.
here for you is the first portrait.
Lust
Of that our most bleakest desire has no root in vain Lest of all that which ties man’s soul to the rock of ages Also doth consume him wholly from within the darkness.
Hide not from thy redeeming embrace of love But shrink away from its tainted whisperings Basking only in its twisted roots of time.
you have to look at it in a different light, but it really is about lust. i envisioned the poems to send a picture to the mind very much like a painting, thats why i call them portraits. thats all for now, but tell me if yo lke them.
