As my first ever post in the Sonicverse Guild, I myself figured posting my art (or a few pieces anyways ) would be the best thing to do.include My first ever Sonic drawing.

It's a really good picture of Sonic, and trust me being an Eggman fan I'm not just saying that.

Here, in contrast, is my most recently done Sonic art that's fully colored and on printer paper.

It's a big improvement and I'm not just saying that. Your proportions are much better and you've managed to get the eyes and muzzle downpat really well.
The only bit to me that sticks out as needing a little touch over is the bottom of the skirt. It looks a little off on the right hand side, but apart from that, good stuff all round = 3 mrgreen

If you wouldn't have said anything I'd not have noticed. But that's just a nitpick thing. First to last is definitely an improvement. Here's the second most recent drawing, the one that was a Sonic revolution in my art. It took me about two days, but that was simply because the coloring took about two hours, and I did it while watching TV, so I only put in about...four hours max on it?

Sorry, I get kind of busy with other things and don't always get the chance to check the forums. That and I am a somewhat reserved poster at present.
Anyways, on your current picture, of course my fave is Tails, but that would be a given since Tails is my fave char.
Personally, Shadows facial expression is a big plus, the way you have managed to get the actual muzzle and the eyes to work together is good stuff.
You shade with colouring pencils, it surely looks like it and you're getting pretty good at it. It reminds me a little of cell shading, where you can clearly see where one colour stops and the other begins. Did you want to keep that style or are you going to try blends?

I really couldn't tell you. I try to blend it with what few color choices i have, but it gets difficult like with Tails. Two shades looked so similar you can barely tell them apart, and with it saving the way it did, you can't see it at all. For Shadow, I looked at a pic for reference and tried to give his eyes an even more menacing look. I need to finish my most recent work which was about a week or two ago, I just never got around to coloring it. I also should try drawing just Shadow completely menacing and evil some time.

Lucky for you I still care about y'all. I've recently done a new pic. It could tie into a fic I'm writing. I also have to make a painting for a project. I can't think of any good backgrounds. If someone could possibly give me a decent framgrab of Robotnik's lab from SatAM, I might use that. When old school meets anime...

Here's a newer drawing I've done of Sally, based on the cover of StH #174.

Thanks for your comments. I need to have people see and help me out on what to fix in my art. Your drawings are well done. I hope more people come to see your art. ( I wish I had more people to check my art out too. sweatdrop ) The more you draw, the better you get.
