How did Kakashi-san get his scar?

I heard that supposely there was a great battle between him and some other dude.
I could try and get some info. because i want to know too.

To make things short and simple if your too lazy to read, he lost his eye in battle at the age of 13 from a weapon strike, leaving the nasty scar. It was from the Kakashi Gaiden arc, something currently only shown in the manga.

He got it because of a battle. He lost his eye, too and got the Sharigan from Obito...... I don't really know who Obito is, exactly...^^; But I know he's important.....

yes that's true he did get his scar from the guy who struck him in the Kakashi Gaiden and Obito gave him his good eye. It's soo sad...since they became best friends
