thank you guys so much! I'm pretty dam proud of it. It's crochet...double crochets for the whole thing. To do the fringe you have to cut strands of yarn and then attach them to the edges by doubling them over, pulling the fold thru, and pulling the ends thru the fold and tighten http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/content.html?content_id=77fringing the whole thing took a couple days. The afghan took me about 3 weeks to finish, which included a period of time where I wasn't able to work on it due to either holiday obligations or when I was uber sick with an infection from a cracked tooth. If i had worked on it more each day I prolly could have finished it sooner, but 3 weeks isn't bad I guess. Right now I'm working on finishing my fleur-de-lis black and gold scarf. I"m trying to finish it by tomorrow so Kevin can wear it to work

MysticfawN magikjaz or when I was uber sick with an infection from a cracked tooth. eek gonk Yikes! OUCH!!!! What can they do for a cracked tooth? Can they fix it? Seal it? Or have to remove it? I ended up having to get a root canal. It's sealed right now. We're waiting for the okay from our dental insurance to go ahead with a cap or crown...to expensive w/o insurance help

Jess just had a root canal done not long ago too. If it wasn't for my dad helping to pay for it, she would have had to have it pulled. Dentists are so expensive.

Ouch you guys, I hate toothwork and have always dreaded the words "root canal." I'm sorry to you both, and also for the horrible costs and insurance hassles! xp

roocee Jess just had a root canal done not long ago too. If it wasn't for my dad helping to pay for it, she would have had to have it pulled. Dentists are so expensive. yea my mom helped us. Even with the insurance it was about 3times as much for the root canal as it was to get it pulled. And it's a front tooth so I wasn't too keen on that since to get it replaced will be a nice chunk of change. I'm already missing the tooth on the left of my root canal tooth (which causes major self image probs of course) so being able to save the tooth was a blessing.

MysticfawN Ouch you guys, I hate toothwork and have always dreaded the words "root canal." I'm sorry to you both, and also for the horrible costs and insurance hassles! xp Surprisingly, fo me, the root canal didn't hurt me at all. It was the pain leading up to the root canal. My tooth and gums were so infected my top lip had tripled in size. I looked like I had a botched collagen plump. I was taking 4 800mg ibuprofen every 4 hours just to keep the pain down enough to try and drink some water thru a straw and maybe catch a couple zzzzs before the pain came back. I spent almost a week in bed. I was on antibiotics for a week before the root canal, which took down the infection and once that was gone most of the pain was too. And once I had the root canal, no pain! I was in heaven!
