If you clicked on this link just to earn gold or whatever you came here for, whatever. Today's main topic from this link I am sending out is a very simple, but irritating matter that always annoys me whenever I bring manga to school to read or to lend to a friend. If any of you have heard, "WHOAH!! WHY IS THE BOOK BACKWARDS?" before, and the question was directed at you... several times in 5 minutes... you might understand what I'm talking about. I understand perfectly that it's natural curiosity if you see something unusual, but it would be nice if they would ask SOMETIME other than when I'm reading the book, or working on my homework. I may be just letting off some steam here, but it feels good. I would like to see other people's comments about this issue. Yes, it is a very simple stupid issue, but this is the first time I have posted a thread other than an introductory one, and I would like to know other's thoughts on the matter. If you comment, please do not tell me how stupid this topic is, because I have already addressed that issue myself earlier in this paragraph.

I know what you mean. Plus I have idiots who actually take my books and try reading them, then complain about how they don't get it. One time I was reading Love Hina and someone took it and opened to a public bath scene. Then they said "Ew, you read that kind of stuff!?" It was so embarassing. They also steal my binder and ask stupid questions about my pictures because I draw them myself. Argh! Can't they just leave us alone? xp

Because they're not used to it. I remember my first experience reading from the opposite side though I'm not American myself. But after reading 2 or 3 books I already get used to it.

Yes, that is true, but do they have to sound so DISBELIEVING? As if they just can't believe people can read like that. Some even tried to convince themselves it was a flaw in the craftsmanship of the book!

It's really bad when people ask you about animes/manga that belongs to a friend. You say it's not your's and they feel it's their right to look through everything even if you say no.

i agree people ask questions before you even finish telling them about it
they need to have more patients i mean your gonna explain everything to them eventually right so why not just wait a couple more seconds

Exactly. mrgreen It doesn't happen as often because I don't usually bring my manga books to school. I also refuse to lend my books out anymore because there have been several occasions when my books have been damaged when I did so. eek This one random kid just stepped on one and practically ripped off half the front cover! scream

Yeah That does get annoying. Most of the time when I'm reading manga at school it's borrowed from a friend. Then some one curious will grab it out of my hand and open it as far as it will go bending the spine (my friend doesn't like the spines bent and niether do I). Being a nice person I don't like to just tell them to give the damn thing back and I sit there cringing as I watch them rough with it. >.< I usually end up grabbing it from them. A lot of the time they end up opening to the most reveiling page in the book and freak out. "EEEWWWW, You Perve." Not fun at all.
