dose any one know what the next Final Fantasy movie is going to be? what do you think the next Final Fantasy movie should be? i think FFVII will make a good movie, only because they already made FFVII Advent children a movie... but im really hopeing FFX will become a movie one day.

Final Fantasys wern't really ment to be movies. Too much plot. Needs a lot of hours to tell the whole story, which is best done though a video game.

your right... i think it took over a year or two just to make the FFVII Advent Children movie.. but in some cases, the longer the movie the better.

Yeah, if they were movies, they'd probably have to cut a lot of stuff out, and I really don't want stuff cut out.
If they did it well, though, I'd like VIII or IX. If they did IX, d'you think they'd keep the chibi-ness? It would be kind of weird either way...

I'd preferr they not make an FF movie. But if they do, I'd like to see either FFVIII or FFX. We already have FFVII Advent Children ... I don't think we need another one based on FFVII

If they do make another FF movie....it's probably going to go straight to DVD.....one: it'll be a bit too long for the theater.....and two: did you actually like the actually final fantasy movie?? That was a huge disappointment for me at least

i didnt play much of the game, and even i thought they could of done better, but i really love the action and fighting, that was the best part of the movie. im just hopeing that if they make another movie (and i dont see why they wont want to) that they dont edit a lot of things out, and keep it as close to the game as possible. but that might take a long time, because most FF game tend to be long... like FF X, it took me just about 50-60 hours the first time around (including all the mini games)

I just watched The Spirits Within a couple of nights ago, and I like it, even if nobody else does. cry

i love that movie... there is some parts in the movie that could of been better. But the graphics are soo good, when i first saw the movie i thought it was with real people.
I really liked the spirits within... but I think it's mainly because I'm a graphic design major. and that film is so beautifully crafted that I can't seem to keep myself from drooling through the entire thing.
As for what FF would make a good movie... I'd say X would be the best one for a movie because the plot is so simplistic that they could probably add in some stuff to actually make it interesting.... it's probably keep my interest better than the game did.
As for what I'd like to see most as a movie... it'd be VI.... hands down. FFVI was the most brilliant piece of video game art that I've ever seen. I'd also like to see which endings they use. Will they (spoilers) kill Shadow or use his secret second ending where he lives and reveals that he is in fact Relm's father..... then again I guess if you leave him to die in the first world he could just be sitting at the colliseum rotting... but that's no fun.(/spoilers) I'd love to see what they'd decide for what really happened.

i definitely agree with this. we've all already seen it with books that've been turned into movies (ie. LoTR trilogy). it's difficult to make something that has so much plot and so much action into a movie.
personally, though, if it was going to be done, i'd like to see FFVIII. though i'd rather have remakes of them with updated graphics and voice acting.
I would really prefer that they didn't make another one. Advent Children was a big disappointment to me outside of visual effects and I don't want to get that kind of disappointment again. I liked TSW, but that was back before Final Fantasy was being used as a major consumer production where they were worried about what they could sell instead of making the story truly good. Meh, thout could be a really long rant, so I'll stop now and just say that I hope they don't make more.
