Well the feud started over the fall between T.R. and Isaiah is heating up once more with Isaiah's denial that he ever said the F word to TR during a post golden globe press con and T.R.‘s interview on Ellen where he says he did and that's why he came out. It’s becoming harder and harder for ABC and the people behind Grey's to ignore what happen. Some say Burke’s marginalized role in the last few episodes is intended. And that maybe he will soon be fired. So what I want to know what do you think of the chance that gray's maybe going on without Isaiah? Ellen; Link Link2Golden globes

I don't like the way Isaiah behaving or the things he's said I think he's a jerk. mad But I have a hard time picturing the show without him. while he's only been a minor part of the other characters lives Christina's whole identity it based around him without him Sandra Oh's just left as a spare wheel to the (sometimes over emphasized) Mer/Der storyline. rolleyes They could replace the actor be that is always weird. No Christina Burke means more MerDer and Calie. razz Scared yet?
But I don't know if he can be saved from himself anymore. sad

I don't know why the guy had to open his mouth in the first place. mad It was so un-called for, so un-nessasary so RUDE. I don't understand what his problem is, and then at the globes he denied it eek rolleyes I mean give us a break! We all know it's true and he acts like it's nothing. I feel bad for T.R. he didn't do anything. And im so happy he is not saying anything back to Issiah, T.R. is a good guy, im glad hes not saying things back to him he does want an apology though and for that i do not blame him at all.
As for Greys, i think Christina would be sad for a while but after a while its just going to be how it is not except for Christina not complaining about him lol.

Oh, trust me, I know! I know what Isaiah said to T.R. was really, really terrible but Grey's Anatomy without Preston Burke is ........ just.... bad.

I dunno, maybe they'll kill him off or something. As long as they make it fit somehow, I don't really care. He's a jerk, and I have no problem with him being fired. And since I haven't really been paying attention for a while... this was a crappy way to find out that TR was gay...

LatestIsaiah's Public apology "I apologize to T.R., my colleagues, the fans of the show and especially the lesbian and gay community for using a word that is unacceptable in any context or circumstance. By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone who works on 'Grey's Anatomy.' I can neither defend nor explain my behavior. I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I've asked for help. I know the power of words, especially those that demean. I realize that by using one filled with disrespect I have hurt more than T.R. and my colleagues. With one word, I've hurt everyone who has struggled for the respect so many of us take for granted. I welcome the chance to meet with leaders of the gay and lesbian community to apologize in person and to talk about what I can do to heal the wounds I've opened. T.R.'s courage throughout this entire episode speaks to his tremendous character. I hold his talent, and T.R. as a person, in high esteem. I know a mere apology will not end this, and I intend to let my future actions prove my sincerity." ABC's public statment The ABC statement, first reported by TV Guide's Michael Ausiello, reads, "We have a long standing policy to create and maintain respectful workplaces for all our employees. We dealt with the original situation in October, and thought the issue resolved. Therefore, we are greatly dismayed that Mr. Washington chose to use such inappropriate language at the Golden Globes, that he himself deemed 'unfortunate' in his previous public apology. We take this situation very seriously, and his actions are unacceptable and are being addressed." "It is unclear when the network will make a decision on Washington's future on the show." E! online A well-placed source just told me that Washington will have a face-to-face sit down with the entire Grey’s cast tomorrow where his coworkers plan to tell him how they feel about his behavior. "It’s a meeting so he can hear them all out," my source says. "And it will go on as long as it needs to go." My source says ABC executives are not expected to attend.

Oh, no way can they get rid of him. He is a key part of this show. I'd be very angry if they did.

But the thing is if they got rid of Burke i honestly don't think it would be that big because as of now he is just in the hospital with his hand tremor. If they do get rid of him i don't think they would kill him off i think they would just say he can't work there any more because of his hand.

there's the whole controversy about his new thing he said after the whole golden gloves thing and everyone's making too much of a deal of it... i think he should continue with his appologies and working with it.. i mean, i didn't let it get to me when the show was on.. it doesn't matter... that's real life and he's appologizing and if he does get kicked out of the show, it'll be a terribly stupid choice because he rocks as dr. burke.. >.o

This whole controversy is showing me that some actors can be petty. I don't get why TR and Isaiah had to do this whole 'he said this, he said that' in the first place. Couldn't they have just said 'No comment' to the media? And where are their respective PRs?
Bleh, ah, well...the show will be fine, it worked for Sex and the City, right?

Latest, latest!
Grey's doctor is in treatment By LYNN ELBER, AP Television Writer 17 minutes ago LOS ANGELES - Isaiah Washington, who does the healing as a doctor on "Grey's Anatomy," is the patient now. He's in therapy for his use of an anti-gay slur against a castmate. "With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again," Washington said in a statement Wednesday. "I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally."Washington took a break from filming Tuesday to meet with gay rights activists and offer help in educating the public about the cruelty of such words, an offer the activists called sincere. Whether Washington was receiving outpatient counseling or had entered a facility was not specified, and the statement did not indicate whether he would miss work on the show. Washington's publicist, Kelly Mullens, declined to comment further. A call to ABC about the effect on production of the hit TV show was not immediately returned Wednesday. Series creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes issued her own statement, at once criticizing Washington for his use of the word "f*****t" about co-star T.R. Knight and lauding Washington's decision to seek help. "I speak for all the executive producers here at `Grey's Anatomy' when I say that Isaiah Washington's use of such a disturbing word was a shocking and dismaying event that insulted not only gays and lesbians everywhere, but anyone who has ever struggled for respect in a world that is not always accepting of difference," Rhimes said. She said she's been working within "the `Grey's family" and with ABC and the Touchstone Television studio to address the issue "in a way that underscores the gravity of the situation while giving us all a foundation for healing." "We applaud and encourage Isaiah's realization that he needs help and his subsequent choice to seek immediate treatment for his behavioral issues," Rhimes said. She expressed appreciation to fans during this "stressful time" and said those involved with the show would continue to "make the best television we can." It was during an on-set quarrel last October with co-star Patrick Dempsey that Washington reportedly used the slur about Knight, who was not present. Although Washington apologized publicly at the time, the issue boiled up again at the Jan. 15 Golden Globes when he denied using the epithet. After being criticized last week by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and ABC, Washington issued an apology. He met Tuesday with the heads of GLAAD and Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, who said Washington agreed to efforts to fight bias but that no specifics were reached.

I was kinda angry with Washington... TR is such a great guy, I feel like he handled the whole thing really well- good for him! I don't know what would happen if Burke left the show though... I love his character.
But it kinda seems like the whole thing is blowing over now...
