I know! It's unheard of! It's so rare! I can't believe it hasn't been thought of before in the HISTORY OF THE GAIAN FORUMS!!!!
*cough cough hack*
In any case, I mean to post up here some of the CDs I currently own! Some of the stuff I listen to. I'm doing that mostly because I don't really no how to say 'I like to blah blah kind of music.' I think thats partially because I have issues catagorizing things.
- Let me know what you listen to! - Let me know what you hate and why! SANS BASHING! - Discuss/suggest music here too! If you do though, try your best to say what genre of music it is.
I.e. I suggest 'The Black Parade' by My Chemical Romance! It's pretty much a rock band I think. Probably something like punk rock! If you're into that or into trying something new, I suggest it!
My current obsession is anything AFI (A Fire Inside). They're an awesome band. Been around for a while though I've only really caught on to them recently. They're older stuff if very punk-like (I suggest: Totalimmortal). And their newer stuff is kind of that newer version of punk. You may have heard of their newest album called December Underground. It's an awesome disc too. As I told you earlier, I suggest My Chemical Romance's 'The Black Parade' But even their second CD is pretty awesome. It's called 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.'
Anyways, this is getting really long so I'm cutting it short. I'll continue this a few days from now with some more suggestions. Let me hear from you!

Well, well <.< >.> this thread is coming at a great time. I'm abot to go to a friend's house to swap CDs. >3 So~~ I'll have more to say tomorrow.
As for my current obsession... I can't stop listening to Fall Out Boy's CD "From Under the Cork Tree." It's basically an... emo punk rock type CD I guess. I'm not good with the whole classifyng music into the right genres thing.

I'm not good with the whole classifyng music into the right genres thing. It is a pretty tough thing to classify bands these days. I mean, I hear Fall Out Boy is punk rock... but I have a very distinct memory of what punk sounds like. Like... I thought Rancid was punk, you know? Old AFI was pretty punk-like. But if I have to classify Fall Out Boy, I simply wouldn't know how. I didn't think they were Emo-like. I'm not even sure Emo can exist as a sound anyways heh. In any case, Fall Out Boy sounds pretty decent to me. My friend Andrew always has me listening to them. He's pretty adamant about having a large musical... uh... pallette of sorts. So I end up listening to what he listens to a lot. Oh, oh... Panic at the Disco is a good band. Apparently before they got big they never actually played an actual show. Not sure that's 100% true but thats what a friend told me. Panic seems to be a pretty big fad these days. Fad or not though, they sound great.

I didnt know that "A fire inside was what that stood for. wow I have to admit, I've never really gotten into much RnB. There was some that was really catchy. Most of it came from Beyonce I think. She's really the only artist I can name in that respect. I've listened to a bit of rap. Some I like but mostly it's not my thing. Yep. AFI stands for A Fire Inside. They really are awesome. Davey Havok (singer) has an awesome voice. It's pretty unique though a bit nasally at times. He just knows how to belt it out there though. They are indeed the band responsible for Miss Murder but I personally don't think that song does them justice. If I took a vote, I bet most people would agree Sing of Sorrows was there best CD. Anywho, gotta eat. ^_^

Not sure that's 100% true but thats what a friend told me. Panic seems to be a pretty big fad these days. Fad or not though, they sound great. Yeah, I've never been good at classifying music, but I do hear that this new wave of punk music doesn't really sound like the.. older stuff. Um~ I'm not too sure how emo would really sound either, but their lyrics sure sound like it to me. XD;;
^__^ Yeah. So do you end up listening to a variety of different types of music then? I~ listen to pretty much everything but rap. But lately I sure have been leaning t'wards the groups that sound like Fall Out Boy... or songs with drums in them.
Yeah, I'm now the proud owner of a PATD CD. I like it. I'll have to check out those other CDs you listed too. x]
And~ I wish I had limewire or some other downloading program to listen to that l'arc en ciel song, Blaiz. D: But sadly, I don't. u.u
And~ that's quite a list, DismalFate. I like songs from most of the groups you've listed, so I'll be sure to check out the groups that I don't recognize. And props for including Queen. I definitely went through a phase a while ago where I kept listening to their songs over and over~~
I usually only like two or three songs from any artist/group so I'll make a list and post some songs later. ^^ They'll mostly be.. punk rock-ish I suppose because, as I said before, that's my current obsession. ^^;;

Right now I'm bouncing though my must mix (three songs listed below) and my "working mix" which is just a modern club rack and basement band idie groups. This moment: Watch 'at Breakdown,Chris Thile ~ Bluegrass Next moment: I want you back, Jakson 5 ~oldies Last moment: Santeria, Sublime ~ Ah..90's rap/rege/popness
I'm mostly a classic rock lover but I've been to ozfest I saw rob zombie live it was cool.

JAckson 5, wow, that really is taking it back. those songs are great though, classix!
hehe i also went through a lil QUEENS old classic rock stage, too! good times.
yeah, beyonce is pretty good, though im not that into her newest album. i dont know, something about it seems very repetitive to me, its weird.
You really did mean everything there DismalFate. You got some good songs for the japanese music. >.<
oh and i think Frou Frou is english...but i cant say for sure, id have to check that out. im pretty sure though...but that might be cuz i heard of her through a harry potter amv and i might have associated them together..
i like his voice too, it fits well (davey havok). Sing of Sorrows, huh? ill have to check that out too.
oh and i just recently got addicted to this spanish song by alejandro sanz and shakira (some of hte bestest!) such a great song, so touching.

She has one or two good songs on her new album but I will have to agree with you. Frou Frou is an english group, I have there album. I'm getting back into some techo and dance club music.... it's been a while though since i've listened to it.

Hehe i love youtube, im on there all the time! im sadly addicted.
KT tunstal...that sounds so familiar..but i cant think of why/where. oh! i remember now....that song annoyed me. i probably would have enjoyed it, had it not been for this concert i went to where they played that song over and over and over again! (it was that dance concert from that one show, i never really watched it so i cant say which one it was)
I do like that dreamgirls song from her, its a nice one. i cant really stand this irreplaceable song though. and they made it into a spanish version ( i think she sings it too).
ah, so it is english. good to know. i love that song, "i must be dreaming". i think its kinda old but real good. speeding cars is really nice as well.
XD i havent listened to dance/techno in a while either, i used to be so into it too. i think the latest songs i downloaded of that genre (which probably arent even new) are: armin van buren-burned with desire ago- tell me where you are ravers fantasy bananarama-move in my direction <~~love the song and their name!! 4laugh

that sux. i hate when my connection acts up and its been doing it a lot lately. the tard.
but anywayz....
see the problem with this one, is that they replayed the same part over and over again. i had never heard the song before. i swear by the end of the night if i heard that song one more time, i woulda shot the radio or something! seriously, it got on my nerves that much!
but songs i like, i do the same, play em over and over. then i get sick of them, which sucks because then they start playing it on the radio....:sigh:
"lets go" from frou frou or dreamgirls? i got confuzed a bit there.
..well move in my direction is a good dance jam, it was one of the ones i had on repeat as well. XD
