Alright, today this incredibally rich kid that lives down the street from me who own's an awesome guitar. I mean, it's just like this one  It's in perfect condition, but he can't play worth crap, and he thinks he's awesome with it, which annoys the hell out of me. He belives his can never get out of tune, and both of my guitars are permanently out of tune. He is a snarky jack-a**. I hate him. The reason I'm posting this is that my parents want me to teach him how to play guitar, cause he's rich, 'cept he believes he's better than me (He can't play anything, not even smoke on the water or Iron Man or any of the easy ones, and he doesn't know Tablature, or chords) So he tries 'teaching' me new things evil Anyone have any ideas on what I could do? I can't beat him up cause my parents'll take away my guitar, and there is absoulutely no convincing him he sucks.

wow.... sound like he's an a**, and who has an awesome guitar and cant play it??? Im sorry that happened to you, but I think you should try to show him something complicated but tell him it is the first thing you learned. and when he gives up and descides he can't do it he will get the message he sucks. does that work? if not i could think of something else pirate

Tried something like that. I showed him how to play Hypnotize frum SoaD and when he tried to do it (and failed) he just said "No, no, you're doing something wrong, that can't be how it goes, that's no, no..." He's so retarded

Record him and then next time you see him ask him what he thinks of "your" playing. If he says it sucks tell him that it was him. If anything just record until he talks lol

rofl, I got fed up with him after he fried his amp, and demanded I give him mine because it was better. I smacked him in the face with his own guitar, and kicked his a**. He left shortly afterwords, heheheh.

the guy's a p***k. known as a IFE (Instant ******** Expert). get him to play something easy as which you can but he can't even get hte hang off. really rub it in his face that your better but keep it so it says I'll will teach you.
I've never learnt to play smoke on the water or iron man but i jumped straight to the tracks i wanted to learn like Plug in baby (even though it's impossible to play when self teaching yourself guitar). but it gave me a song to aim at and learn skills to play.

Wow, I hate pricks like those. >.< I'd just steal his guitar the day before you go on tour, that way when he calls about it you can go: "Nah, you're not getting it back." >.>;

Plankboy The reason I'm posting this is that my parents want me to teach him how to play guitar, cause he's rich Tell them they fail at teaching their kids the values they need to know. Because pushing your kid to do something that he/she doesn't want to do JUST BECAUSE OF MONEY is not very conducive to their growth. No offense man, but I'd probably rather them take my guitar, but not my dignity--then get a job and buy my own guitar. neutral

woah...dude's and a*****e. I'd say just screw it and beat his a**, but it seems you've already done it. And now since you've beatten the s**t out of him and probably scared him...he'll probably listen to you. If not just kick his a** again...or just completely ignore him and forget about teach'n him s**t.
