For years now, the movie industry decided to stop be creative and stealing video games just to turn them into movies. As always, they change certain things about the game in the movie, which is natural to make it their own, in a way.
What video games turned into movies did you like? What did you like about it? Why?
What video games turned into movies did you really hate? Why?

DOOM was decently good...for a video game movie though. It was entertaining. I liked how they made it first person at the end to show him killing everything. Now THAT was awesome.
And Silent Hill was pretty good too. I've only played Silent Hill 4, but I pretty much know the layout of the other games, and what kind of theme they use, and I get all of the creepiness and everything...so I liked the movie. xD I just wish they would make it out of Silent Hill 4...then I could figure out how to beat the damn apartment level. stare
Halo is coming out...2008 maybe? I know there's going to be one...they said their would be.

Doom and Silent Hill were wonderful movies. Hardcore video game geeks disagree with me, but we need to undestand that movies are not going to be just like the video games. It wouldn't work out right. I thought Doom was nicely casted and I loved how the errie spookness of Silent Hill stayed even after they left the town. That's what the games is like, the unsettling feeling even after you do the "right" thing.
I am waiting for Halo, Hunter (which is based off the roleplaying game) and Fear Effect (because this was my favorite PS1 video game).

Hmm. I didn't know Metroid was coming to movie, but that would be my favorite.
Especially if they kept it like in the original game, when they refer to Samus as male until the very end when they reveal her as a cute blonde girl. It was one of my favorite games.

I am sorry but I do not follow what you just said. As far as I know, Link and Zelda are not siblings. He was just pretty much found and decided to help Zelda find the fragments of the triforce of Wisdom to stop Ganon. As far as I can tell, it's like that for all of the Zelda games, but with different variations of the story.
Either way, if done into a movie, it would be the simple young man meets princess, falls in love with her, finds out she was captured, and tries to rescue her while other characters tell him about the triforces. Is all.

There is more than one Link and Zelda. They're labeled according to Link's title. There's the Hero of Time, the Hero of Winds, and the Chosen Hero. There are probably others. Which Link came first is hard to say, but it's probably the Hero of Time, as other Links are often told that they look alot like an ancient Link, the Hero of Time. It one of the first few games, for the NES (A Link to the Past, which is the first game when put in chronological order), Link's uncle reveals to him that he is sibling to the seventh sage, who is Zelda, before teaching him the spin technique.

I never played a Link to the Past.. Maybe that's why I was like "what is he talking about?" But oh well. Even so, romance is what sells because people in this world want to believe in true love. With that said, it would probably more in the lines of the Princess saving beauty thing.
